With Lucas coming into some good form, how do you think Schultz will go on him?
Honestly, no idea, hes an enigma our Schulzy. I think he's become alot more mobile this season but I don't rate his closing speed. Alot of defenders seem to allow Lucas to take marks outside 50 and don't realise it's as good as letting him take grabs 40 out. Will need to stick very close and play him smart. Is a dangerous match-up if it eventuates.

Bowden will get Lucas IMO.

Sounds like a better match up for you guys. I would have thought Schulz would be more beneficial drifting into the forward line and stretching our defence.

Team for the match against the Bombers:

Richmond
B: Chris Newman, Luke McGuane, Kelvin Moore
HB: Jordan McMahon, Joel Bowden, Matt White
C: Trent Cotchin, Shane Tuck, Richard Tambling
HF: Mitch Morton, Jack Riewoldt, Brett Deledio
F: Nathan Brown, Cleve Hughes, Adam Pattison

Good to see Will and Rance in the emergencies.

We did it without Richo against Eagles we csn do it against the Bombers

Can't understand Thursty being emergency. If he's fit, he plays. Matchups against the Bummers demand he plays.

How long has Thursty been out for and what was his injury? Surely he would come straight back in? He is a great young defender and i thought he would be just about the first defender picked for you guys..

its a hammy,

he did it against adel a few weeks back 7th june to be precise so that will be 6 weeks - must have been a doozy.

Bloody oath it must have been a doozy!

I reckon if he is named as emergency he must now be fit enough to play and surely will come into the team.

The question is who is the out?

with the team as impressive as it was last week, i dont mind thursty coming back thru the seconds Mcguane was alright last week, would be stiff to be dropped on that effort , pretty sure he was on kennedy who had 4 kicks

surely thursfield for deledio tiger faithful???

Maybe, maybe not...

Lids came back and played after he got hurt last week, which means it couldn't have been *that* bad...Hopefully the week since has him right again.

I agree with one of the bomber posters urely if he is fit enough to be an emergency he is match fit? Strange how its been named will be interesting to see who runs out..

I don't pay to much attention to our named team these days.

Our emergencies are regularly rotated in, it's also not uncommon for us to ommit players actually named on the ground either.

I'd expect if Will's fit he will play. Take that either way, Hamstring isn't right or after 6 weeks out he just isn't match fit. It's not like anyone in the backline hasn't been playing well enough to hold their own.

I'd see situations like this as a real mark of our improvement. IN previous years King , Thursfield and Richo would have been rushed back.

Also not surprised Richo isn't playing, for a few years there he had chronic hamstring issues and he did it against Carlton. Thats only the bare minimum three weeks.

I'm happy with the team. If we get an injury to a tall before Saturday a "not 100%" Thurstfield will come in. Otherwise, he will play for Coburg on Sunday

Moore Vs Lloyd
Schultz Vs Lucas
McGuane Vs Neagle/Hille

Bowden will get Lucas IMO.

You boys better hope your midfield steps up cos with those backline match-ups if we beat you out of the middle then it's all over. With Hille in AA form and guys like Lonergan, Watson and Welsh getting centre clearances with ease I can't see you guys stopping us.

Yeah we will kill you the second the ball hits the ground.
Same goes the other way our forward line will destroy you're defence, or lack of it more likely

Mate Cox is the number 1 ruckman ... killed Simmonds last week , yet the Tigers dominated the clearences wth ease.
I find it funny that he actually thinks we would be intimidated of Lonergan, Watson and Welsh.
I think I will take Tuck, Cotchin, Foley, Deledio etc every day of the week
