It's hard to imagine, but the big fella will have to hang up the boots sometime in the next 2 years. Will his last game be the most celebrated in history, even topping the likes of Hirds and Harveys farewell matches?

The aura of Richo is unrivalled. My mum and nana who barely follow footy and are Collingwood supporters anyway were shouting at the TV last night, as the count neared its end, cheering the Cho on.
The thing about Hird and Harvey is that they were champions yes, but so is Richo. The thing that sets Richo apart is that every footy supporter can watch him. People always want to know how Richo is going and what he's done, for better or worse. No-one has ever watched a saints game and just sat there watching Harvey have they?

But please dont even talk about his last game. I will be running for Mayor of Melbourne just so that I can call a week of mourning after that fateful day.

If I was Richmond management, I'd be having a quiet word to the AFL to suggest that for the next couple of years, we play our last game as a home game at the 'G just in case he decides to hang up the boots....The AFL says they try and maximise crowds, so they should be up for it.

Hopefully, we'll make the finals so it wont matter, but it'd be a useful insurance policy.

As i have said before I reckon i will jump the fence and personally stop him from leaving the ground. I think if we all did it a la 100th goal celebration it would be a fitting way to mark his last game - keep him on the ground for an extra half hour, I can see the headline now "Fans say "don't go cho" "

I've often wondered how many games Richo will end up playing?
298? 300? 320? I guess only time will tell...

300th will be next year in the prelim final and he will kick the winning goal against carlton to put us into the granny.........Thats what dreams are made of. RICHO=SUPERSTAR.........................................................

That is not a bad idea. I'm up for that. Hopefully I can outrun everyone else to get to him first.
But after Richos last game you won't see or hear from me for about a month. No matter where it is played I will be there, in tears.

I like it pj. Will definitely be sad knowing we'll never see the great man run out in the yellow and black again. here's hoping he goes for at least 2 more years

And I will be joining Parliament, overthrow Rudd with the sole intention of outlawing Richo from retiring.
Then quit

It's at least 4 years away.

True like at Robert Harvey played to he was 37. And Richo is fitter than Harvey. I think richo will play on for a bit longer:
He played his best season yet this year.
Came 3rd in Tigers B&F
Got Leading Goal Kicker for Tigers.
Came equal 3rd in Brownlow(Should of got voted against Melbourne )

And he is still going strong. Go the might Cho

will be a sad day when it happens,
both my girls wear the 12 on their tiger jumpers & mum always says her favourite player is RI - cho
im pretty sure he will play 2009 & 2010 but am still wishing he can go on to play in 2011 so thats another 60-70 games & 150+ goals.

RICHO IS A LEGEND OF THE GAME

I strikes me that many of you younger posters on here would never have known a Tigers team without the big No 12 in it's ranks.

16 years now in the yellow & black.
May end up being 18 or 19!

There wil be 23 year olds (on here and even playing) who have only known The Tiges as the home of Richo...

James freaking Hird's retirement will look like an Auskick clinic!
(Maybe that's why he is talking about comming back next year... feels Richo will trump him as far as being loved by one and all!)

richos last game will be one of those massive games in our history.... but this time it will be Richmond that wins the big games for a change...

RICHO IS A SUPERSTAR and i wouldn't miss that game for the world... hope fully it is grand final day

I cant remember richmond without richo as i was 5 when he debuted so it will be a sad sight to see richmond without the big number 12 out there.
