Every A-Grade team in the AFL has players like Petterd and put him up for trade and all clubs would certainly bite. Petterd is DEFINITELY an AFL grade player. I could go through every list in the AFL and find many players who are worse.
 
Petterd is a bit like Morris, bleds Tigers through action, will not be going anywhere unless retires or eventually delisted.

You can tell some players actually support the club regardless of being a player or not through the way they play!!

Apart from effort he is effective enough atm. Our team needs to improve a hell of a lot before Petterd is out of the selection table or he drops off!!

Miles can be guilty of that too.... Normally its a sign that a player is kicking the ball too early from the drop.

Petterd goes ok. Needs to build up his tank and keep himself in the game for longer.

Good game overall

His kicking eff is high because he kicks it so high it almost always comes down to a contest = champion data effective kick

Needs to be cleaner with his hands, fumbles easy ball too often and breaks the chain, as seen today through the middle of the ground

But ya know what yr gonna get and he only cost a can of warm fanta. Playing better footy than Grigga this year.

Can't imagine he'd be on big coin and always puts his body on the line when it's his time to go. Versatile enough to be able to play multiple positions wherever he's needed and a pretty good overhead mark too.

Might not be the most celebrated Tiger but probably worthy of being on the list - certainly, there should be others ahead of him that are ushered to the door before him!

True about kicking efficiency.
But that's just smart.
At least he doesn't kid himself trying bullshit chip kicks.Or like many of our players try to kick a hole into somebody and kick a shocker.
I've got no doubt his toughness is holding him in good stead but obviously when more polish arrives he will be under the pump to hold a place.
We all know that. But right now he's comfortably best 22 and playing his heart out.
That's all people are saying.
I can cop honesty about players it's the made up shit I can't handle.

People saying he is dumb and doesn't know where to go on field. That's just utter bullshit.

I feel a little dirty about saying this but Pettard is the least of our problems
Gets the most of himself, sets an example to others with his attack at the pill.
On the principle of application alone he deserves a senior game AND a spot on the senior list.
Classic good, ordinary player.
We have many more ordinary and worse who are getting senior games.

If our list improves beyond Pettards current output then drop him from the team and the list.

Until then, let's not second guess whether he belongs or not because the hard facts are that he does.
