Richo wasn't beyond a disciplinary stint at the burgs- give jack a rest and reality check. Maybe he'll learn that pointing to the sky in hope of a school yard jack in the pack screamer can't cut it at this level. Horrible attitude at the minute.

Love the bloke and without doubt one of the best when up and about but at present he is not up to it. Doesn't want his 'pockets pissed in' so grant him that and send him back til he's worthy again.

Just have an intra club match this Tuesday and make the cocky prick play a half at Fullback and a half at CHB.

Hopefully he can find some form before the weekend.

They should also get Martin St James down to the club to hypnotise him and make him think that Television Cameras do not exist and that it is ok for a forward to lead and take a chest mark.

He is killing me !!!!!!

couldnt agree more he needs to go. He doesnt attack the ball like he used too.Just waits for it, not good enough.I thought Miller was horrible last night too.

Jack looks like he is playing in the school yard kick to kick, pointing in the air trying to take screamers! For godsake Jack lead & you will create movement & space.
He & our foward line are letting us down big time, is it time to look at our forward line coach Williams? Why is he obviously telling jack to lead to the pockets??? It's not working!
Our backline has improved out of sight & our mid field is close to the best in the comp it smashed the bummers in the guts last night in the second half especially. We need to start getting rewarded for our inside 50's.

No chance of being dropped, he may not have kicked a bag but he did crash the contests and pass off a few good handballs resulting in scores. It is pretty hard to win against a double act especially if the other forwards are not helping you out like they should.

While he's down there someone should tell him to scrap the 'Go you Tigers!' during the theme song. It underpins his self-promotion and ego - it's the team song, not Jack time.

Would love to see Jack taking them on the chest 40m out, but it doesn't seem to come in that way anymore. Foley got him last week against Sydney but it's not common place these days. Saw Lids running thru the guts last night, JR made ripper position but Lids took the shot...and missed.
I think he's working hard but the game has changed a bit since 2010. None of the comps forwards seem to be doing it so maybe it's not just him.
How many times did he compete against 2 or more last night? I actually felt a bit sorry for him...

Sheeesh do you lot actually watch any of the game? He is lacking some confidence and help up there. He is copping the best defender each week and at least one free player. At times last night he had three on him and I doubt many forwards could make much out of that. Until he has a partner up there to take some of the load off then he will continue to try and wrestle two or more defenders. What are you lot expecting him to do? If anything this should be playing into both Vicks & Millers hands by giving them one out opportunities:confused:

Sending him to Coburg will fix this how?

You cant honestly say that he is attacking the football nearly as well as he used too. He isnt moving around and getting to the space like he used too and his body language tells me that his attitude just isnt right at the moment, sure the game has changed a little over two years and his getting more attention now but he isnt the same player. Dropping him to the reserves will hopefully kick him out of the rut his in even if we dont have a replacement

He's not injured just a form slump, would be nice to see him lead into space a bit more but our mids need to honour those leads with low passes not on top of his head. The umps need to take notice of the holding alot of opposition clubs get away with can be glaringly obvious and hardly ever gets a free.

I understand you are pointing out in your post that not only is he getting the best defender each week but he is getting double teamed by one of Millers or Vickerys man up as well but shit it frustrates me when people say " give him a break he gets the best defender each week"

News flash he is a Coleman medalist and that is his f?;ken job. He is always going to get that. It's just like Ratten starting Murphy down forward today to try and hide him from a tag. Der he is gonna get tagged for the rest of his natural life get used to it, work harder , perfect your craft.

Riewoldt needs to work harder and get smarter. Same as Murphy the poor sausage that is finding it hard that they tag him now not Judd.

He wont get dropped on last nights game , but he needs to work alot harder & smarter mate.Leading up at the ball would be a start. He might even get a free for a tug of the jumper if he does .

Some people commenting here either have tunnel vision or don't go to many games and see how our forward line operates.

Most of the time we play a 7-man backline which means it is 5 on to 6 in our forward line. This means the opposition of the luxury of letting their 6th man drop back into the hole or simply double-team Riewoldt.

Now you can be pretty sure that the coaching staff know this would happen and are prepared to let our forward line get clogged up with the trade off that it allows us to switch play out of the back line by having that 7th player there to switch it to, as well as having an extra man back when the opposition are going forward.

The reality is we said all along that we had to stop being Riewoldt-centric, and this is what we have come up with. A much better back half and our midfielders kicking much more goals. Notice how Deledio, Cotchin, Grigg and Martin are kicking so many this year?

One thing I will say though, is that that Riewoldt still needs to work on a few things. Early in the year he was trying to be too cute with speccys from behind. But what I saw last night was a player that tried to get his team mates into the game if he was out of position. All he needs to do now is work on getting in front and demanding the ball, which is a bit hard when there is always an extra defender dropping back in front of his leads.

No need to send him to Coburg, I think he's trying harder now than he was earlier in the year.

Bingo bango.

I actually like his game last night. He didn't have a great offensive impact, but of his 8 touches he had a goal and 2 score assists.

He also had 3 tackles which you would assume he got in I50. If he keeps doing that then he is contributing and the goals will come.

He also didn't get many 1v1 contests, he had players hanging off him all night.

This is just a knee jerk reaction to short sightness. Jack continues to get 2 or 3 opponents and it's certainly not helped by 4 important factors .
1. Miller refuses to leave 30 Metres from the square and is often leading back toward the square .
2. Like Miller , Vickery refuses to lead up the ground.
3. King as a defensive forward is always trying to drag his opponent deep
4. Nahas inability over head allows his opponent to play off him .

Tell him and all our forwards to play infront. ****ing pathetic.

In front of which defender would that be...his direct opponent or the usual other one maybe two he attracts. What we need is another key forward to take some heat. Miller was good early on but not good on Sat night. We need a Vickery in form badly

He isn't moving because he has one bloke 5 metres in front of him with his back to the ball watching to see where JR is headed with his opponent in his hip pocket. What needs to happen is someone else to start presenting to the ball delivery and allow JR to start getting some one on ones which he should do better with. Sending him to Coburg will do nothing to help this except put more pressure on who ever comes in to replace him.

I am happy for Jack to continue as is with our midfield peppering the goals and when they improve their accuracy the scoreboard will result in us getting more wins than losses.
