Sad news that Chris Pavlou who has been ill for some time passed away today.

Great clubman and supporter of the past players association as well, from all accounts, a fine player cut down by injury just as he was an emerging star.

Condolences to family and friends, of which there are many.

Re: Chris Pavlou RIP

I don't know a lot about Chris, but have heard his name uttered many times over the years. Any loyal clubman deserves to be recognised. I'm sure the CFC and all its supporters appreciate the work he has done around the club. RIP Chris.

Was Chris ever on the board, or ever try to get on to the board? I seem to remember his name in that context but can't be sure.

Yes he was ODN but only for a short stint from memory.

A wonderful Carlton man - also did a lot for the popularity of the club amongst the Greek Cypriot community will be sadly missed.

Huge Greek & Greek Cypriot population living in and around Carlton & Brunswick during the 50s and a lot of our support from members of these communities can be linked to Chris Pavlou playing for Carlton.
