Just announced, twice Heavyweight champion George Foreman passed away, aged 76. His greatest fight in my opinion, Foreman-Lyle 1976. The classic heavyweight slugfest.

Very sad :sadv1:

His walk off uppercut on Cooney might be the most beautiful punch I've witnessed.

That sucks, was a great fighter in two eras.

My old man talked about him in his prime as one of the most brutal punchers to put on the gloves. He did to world class fighters what no one else could, blow them off the ring. Rope a dope the only thing Ali could do to beat him, was a great tactic.

What an amazing transformation from a guy who thought he had to act tough, like Sonny Liston, to the lovely bloke he became when he realised he could just be himself. Look for the classic footage of George training for his comeback in the 1990's, where he says he's cut down his daily intake of hamburgers to 16.

Ali-Frazier-Foreman-Norton. An incomparable era. RIP Big George.
