Announced this morn - Died after a fight with cancer. My music listening of the 70 and 80s wouldnt have been the same without his influence.

Wonder if Lydon will go to his service!!

McLaren was a manipulative little prick. It was Vivian that did all the clothes at the shop on the Kings Road. He drove a wedge between Lydon and the bass player Matlock which meant the one decent musician they had left the group. He replaced Matlock with Vicious and then let him run around out of control for a cheap headline and to sensationalise the band which pretty much killed Vicious. Lydon has every right to hate McLaren. There are more worthy people to be credited with getting punk started.

Hey Ebo, Ebonettes!:thumbsu:

You're not the only one, that song was huge when I was in primary school. Coincided with a major skipping craze at school, if you couldn't skip back then you were a nobody. :D

The whole Sex Pistols thing was before my time, although I guess that's what most people remember him for. For me it's 'Double Dutch' and 'Buffalo Gals'.
