Rip Off Preliminary Prices

What is the most you would pay for a Preliminary Final Ticket? If your team was in the final, you'd probably pay more, but how much would you pay as a neutral - like someone like me who would pay too see some other team beat Collingwood!

As an AFL Silver member I refuse to come at $112 plus booking fee. As I've already paid my yearly subscription I refuse to pay again.

How much would you be prepared to pay as a walk up:

Me?
a) supporter - $70
b) neutral - $50

Would have been going with the family tomorrow night, but they are members and I didn't want to make them wait until Wednesday to buy tickets.

Sixteen responses so far. 12/16 (75%) of us are not willing to pay over $100. Perhaps that explains why the AFL still have thousands of unsold seats!

Why pay 4 x more for a final than a home and away game? After all, you don't get anything more for your money except the boring National Anthem!

$40 - $60 - Neutral
$80 - $100 - Supporter (more towards the $80 end)

I live 2-3hours away

$112 for tickets + Food + Petrol + Public transport = Pass

If my team was playing < $100 or any other team < $80 for preliminary

the whole way the tickets are issued for the Grand final though is (in my opinion) bloody corrupt.for instance each of the 16 Clubs are issued with 1000 tickets each WTF? whilst the other 64,000+ are spread out over MCG members,AFL friends,Lackys and competion winners.
Why shouldn't the teams that are ACTUALLY in the GF get say 5000 each? makes a lot of sense to me.It's particularly difficult living away from Victoria as the Airlines bloat the airfares to a disgusting level weeks before and after the finals.

For a Grand Final yes, Prelim no. (But memberships and the fact that I always get in early means I never have to pay through the teeth for Prelim tickets.)
