A good mate of mine who used to post on the Carlton board, sometimes under my name, today took his life.
He loved the Carlton Football Club and his football in general.
I post this thread in fond memory of him.
RIP mate.

It's in time like these footy fans put aside their differences to remember a fellow footy fan.

And if he's a True BlueBagger as you have said i'm sure as soon as he passes through the pearly gates he will be givin it to all the Saints up there.

Pete knew the thrills and the spills the mighty Blues had to offer. The flags, the legends, the history. The Blues have been a shining light in my life during all the other struggles that go with the territory. Regardless of the lows in life, all Blues supporters including Pete have experienced something special being part of the mighty old dark navy blues. Knowing somebody had some joy in their life is a comforting thought, wherever that joy comes from.

I'm guessing Pete now has a great vantage point in the highest of grandstands and will be singing the theme song along with the rest of us as the Blues charge back up the ladder.

He came with me to a pre-season training display at Punt road this year.
I had my dog on a lead and we were just standing there watching young Tambling and co when I've turned around nand he was on the ground in the goalsquare kicking the ball back to the players.
I said "****** this" and tied up the choccie frog and was into it.

After afew kicks he had a sherrin and was calling out to Knobel to go the lead.
Trent put in a half hearted effort and Pete's hit him on the chest saying
"If u hadda gone to Carlton that's what you would have got"
LMAO.
Legend bloke.
Mouthing off about his BlueBaggers on Punt road oval during a semi training session,In fron of the whole list.Players in the group within earshot were Campbo Richo Gaspar Cogs Chaff........

Well said Lad.

I am very sorry to hear the loss of Pete. I never knew the man but I wish I did, he sounds like a champion! RIP

Very sorry to hear about this. Condolences to Pete's family and friends and to you oxx. Football is only a game but it is suprising what it can mean to some of us even in times like this.

Oxx, we had a bloke at work who unfortunately had no other alternative (he believed) than take his own life not that long ago. It's sad that I knew this person as (externally) really sociable, but privately living in termoil. It's extremely sad that anyone feels so bad about living that they can't stick these things through, however I understand the position where you feel like you have no way out. RIP Pete and I hope you have found inner peace.

All u peeps are awesome.

Thanks for the kind words.

Internet solace can be comforting somehow.
