Rivaldo has officially been releasd from his contract. He has admitted there has been interest from England shown in him. Clubs beleived to be interested are Man Yoo and Chelski however they may be turned away by the fact he can't play CL.
Boro, Spurs and Newcastle are also linked with his signature.
In addition to that Fat Ronaldo said the other day he would talk to the Real president about signing Rivaldo. Real has yet to show any interest though. Madrid are really lacking quality midfielders with the likes of Beckham, Figo, Zidane roaming around.
If Rivaldo did arive in England he would ring a whole new dimension to diving and play acting, he would make Van and Pires look like amatuers.
Still interesting to see where he ends up.

Just going by a report i read this morning. But Liverpool have been linked with him in the past and there is no reason why they won't make a play for him.
They don't really have a world class diver there, Owen has showed glimpses of something great for England but has never really carried that form to Liverpool.

except houllier said that he would not sign him and really why would you? heskey is a donkey but he has a heart and tries unlike rivaldo who is just a ****carter going round on reputation from a few years ago.

Boro were heavily linked to him in the summer. However I can't see us paying him the massive wages he would be asking as I imagine we are paying Mendieta fairly high wages

I doubt that Fergie would want to sign him up. He can't be used in the Champions League and I reckon that Rivaldo would be useless in the Premiership (can't see him being arsed to put in an effort when we play those midtable sides on a wet and windy Wednesday night).

True. For example, I remember he did ask for a number 10 or 11 shirt (taken already) when he went to Milan

Good luck to him, he is a good player, but like many before him, just came undone in Italy.

Right from the start last year he was given no room by anyone, and he really struggled to have any sort of impact at all. I thought he just needed time to come around, but it never happened. He was going so bad, he probably wasnt even in our second team.

His wages are high, but someone will pick him up and can still offer a fair bit. He is cup tied, which is a problem for him, but Im sure someone will come to the party.

Rivaldo is the past of Brazilian football - Kaka is the future!!

he was given a huge ovation last night before the Milan-Lecce game, all players hugged him etc. then from reports after the game apparently he changed his mind during the game, and now wants to stay again.

I reckon he'd be a great addition...to the EPL diving championship team...how good could they be with Rivaldo, Pires, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robbie Savage...best set of divers in the world at the moment (if you don't count the J-League players)

Doesn't want to come because we aren't winning? Does he care to think he could possibly turn that around? Or does he just want medals? If that's the case buddy head off to Chelski.

Don't really want him anyway. Our boys a troublesome enough without that cheat in our squad and I can't see him being of that much benefit.
