Defensively in transition we have been poor. But overall a pretty good quarter. Effort/pressure seems to be there. Skills still a little lacking. Carroll very prominent and Moir showed his class

Why can’t we kick inside 50 to our advantage? I mean, given our numbers you’d think statistically we’d have to hit one of our blokes by accident occasionally. We must train to kick over or on top of our players. There’s no other logical explanation.

My theory is that we’ve trained too hard to hit Charlie or Harry. That’s it. It’s a trained habit.

In part because so often we take so long to get it in, the defense has had enough time to flood back. Motlop was guilty of a long hold up before entry which lead to turnover

As good as the quarter was overall, the players look dead inside. Very little energy and enthusiasm as far as body language is concerned.

And TBH fair enough.
