I lost my dad last year and i think I had a couple of weeks off work. You're just in no frame of mind to really do anything

Wouldn't know what it exactly feels like. But I've felt similar things around this time last year.

I had an existential crisis. These are ******* brutal. They eat you from the inside and the same thoughts about life and death just haunt you. There is no doing anything. No eating or sleeping well.

I must also add that I was 22 at the time. Fairly young.

Big test for Teague today. Win this and basically you get the job even if not announced for a few more weeks.
With players we got out it should be a loss v the reigning premiers but the team football has been impressive so a win here will endorse that aspect more than any other win so far.

I just want another showing of taking game on and moving ball in aggressive fashion with intent to hurt opposition on scoreboard.
If Harry can find some form we a sneaky chance but with no Cuningham and Charlie and Kruezer going to be up against it again...

I lost my dad unexpectedly when I was 27. We were at a Carlton game together the night before. I can relate to how you felt and my heart goes out to Liam. I totally understand him not being able to play this week and would understand him not playing again this year.

Edit to say, I guess I did something wrong here, meant to quote HBF's post, that is the 'you' I was referring to.

I think Jones out might be the final straw on any chance of winning. All I want to see today is, 22 players that when the final siren sounds have given absolutely everything they possible can

Where I agree Jones is an absolute boss, I disagree his absence will tip this one over the edge. We absolutely have to have it played in our forward half to win and beat them in general clearances. Something I think we are capable of doing. Hope Goddard shows us his mettle.

Even though we have some of our better/vital players out, really looking forward to this game

You could make a case for the Lions game being a "coach changing bounce", although since then we have still played a competitive exciting brand of footy, despite it being against mid to lower tier sides. Now we face a genuine flag contender (my pick to win this year) if they can secure a top 2 spot, as well as the Tigers and Pies in coming weeks

This game will give us a great insight as to how we are tracking and what could be possible for next year. Players from opposition clubs, considering us as a destination, will also be interested in how we perform

Given all the factors, venue, formline, etc, I think it will be a 3 goal game
