Is the average age of everyone who has contributed to this thread in the affirmative about 13?
The roar metre was unbelievably bad.
And Rayo is spot on. The knob in the Geeling crowd who starts the oi oi oi thing needs to be shot.

Remember when Ch7 had an injured player from each club sit on the wing with microphones. What was all that about? And is Peter McKenna still sitting in the top deck of The Southern Stand? Bring back the 90's. (Well at least 1995 up until 23rd of Sept.)

I think people need to be more pumped at games. I always feel like I'm the only one cheering along with the 4 other guys I sit with. It's as if we are watching the golf and all you hear is golf claps

The roar meter was the stupiest thing we ever done keep it away. You wont need a crappy roar meter just sit in our reserved area thats where the richmond chant starts.

amen to that

Depends where you sit - at Tiger home games at The 'G' (and that should be the only place we play home games) the atmosphere is great where we sit. At the dome, it's more like a library - it's surreal. Until it's close in the last quarter you can hear a pin drop sometimes. Strange.
Back to the Roar Meter - I reckon they could try having only the roar of the tiger over the PA system while we are spontaneously roaring for the boys. That would sound pretty good and wouldn't seem as 'manufactured' as telling us when to roar. It's not as lame as that 'woof, woof' thing the dogs had going. One simple frightening tiger roar along with our own gutteral, feral roar. Lovely.
I'm taking my own roar meter to Sydney this week.

sorry that im trying to get people's opinions on stuff to get the fans into the games..cos as i see it now the tigers fans are very quiet

would you rather i stood outside the gates and handed you a glowstick every round?
You didn't go to the st kilda game at the dome the noise that night was one of the biggest iv'e herd

It was like that eighties band that tried to replicate Stairway to Heaven.

The Richmond roar is spontaneous as much as it is loud and was only cheapened by the Roar meter. That was for the kiddies. For a bloke in his thirties it was pretty lame.

Nice roar on Saturday night btw but it will get better, I hope.

Improved football performances will kill the need for it.

Yeah, I was there. Did sit in the Tiger reserved seat section so yeah, the noise was big. But nothing like The 'G' - and don't get me started on playing St Kilda at their home ground for OUR home game!

i think when the roof is shut, it's hard to hear the crowd. But when the roof is open it sounds a bit like the G
