Harves has been terrific this year. Suprisingly has played all games after seemingly doing his hamstring twice and playing the next game. I have so much admiration for the guy and think he would easily be able to line up for us next year. I really hopes he does. I don't see any reason for him retiring other than if we win the premiership.
Harves racked up a lazy 23 touches or so against the Tigers and is averaging 20 touches a game. Fair effort to average 20 touches a game when he is probably only getting 75% TOG and has beeninjured early in two games which brings his average down.
I don't know if it would work but I wouldn't mind seeing Harves play across half-back where we can use his composure out of defence. I would also like to see him there where he is able to roam across half-back and just do as he pleases. I'd like to see him across there because it is probably easier picking up easy kicks compared to doing the hard stuff in the centre which he shouldn't have to do anymore. He should be able to play an easy role where he's not the one who has to go in and get the hard-ball.
