Robbie Coltrane - RIP

Many people will know him from his role as Hagrid - “You’re a wizard, Harry!”. But his career included James Bond, Blackadder and Shakespeare. For me, I will always remember him as 'Fitz' in the Cracker TV series. I rewatched it all last year. It's such a well written show and Coltrane was perfect as the brilliant but hard drinking, chain smoking, gambling, womanising, criminal psychologist.

RIP big man.

Kind of disapointing that the media are calling him the actor who played hagrid. He was a household name well before harry potter.

He will always be the quintessential Hagrid (in the same way Nimoy will always be Spock) but he's had a fine acting career outside of Harry Potter. RIP.

First saw him in various episodes of Comic Strip Presents.
He had a great career.

Remember him as Bond's ally in Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough, Valentin Zukovsky.

I will always remember him for his role in Let it Ride & then later Cracker. Funny man & great actor.
