Okay, criticise where it's due, but this guy took every available opportunity today to bag the Eagles. Just what the hell is his problem?

There was one seven commentator who kept getting into WC and how they were playing. Sure WC played crap but thats all he talked about!

I don't know who this Robbo is, but he sounds like an arseh*le.

he sounds like the type of person who puts teams down when they are going through a rough patch, then in a matter of days turns around and says what a magificent team when they win a game.

Was that the Robbo on the tele, or the Robbo on ABC radio, who continuously told us what the Hawks percentage would be, and how the Eagles kicking a goal completely stuffed him up. My Dad ended up turning it off and just listening to the tele commentary.

As far as I am concerned thank God that Channel 7 has lost the Footy. Why? So we dont have to listen to Ian Robinson and Sandy Roberts. Robbo has done this for years. He doesnt bother to learn who the Eagles Players are. You think that if he was trully Professional he would watch Videos to learn who the players are. All day he was calling Gaspar Cox, Carroll or whoever. They dont seem to realise that a large part of the audience could not give a rats about Victorian Football.

Yeah I noticed he kept getting mixed up with Gaspar, Hunter etc. How the hell can you mix up Gaspar and Hunter, one is 195cm and one is 185cm, not a very big difference there!

Don't tell me that ABC had the ch7 commentators as well eka!

The bit that cracked me up was when an Eagle took a mark forward of the centre and one of the TV commentators says "they'll need a lead from Wilson here", somehow missing the fact that the player with the ball was, in fact, Wilson

Robbo is an old fashioned Victorian commentator, who has zero interest in the game becoming more national. He knows nothing about the interstate teams (names, numbers, form etc), and has even been caught barracking against them. He always mentions when interstate players are from Victoria, but not the reverse, and worst of all doesnt admit his bias... unlike Kurls, Mainy< Plugger etc....

I hate him with a vengance.

I dont particularly like Eagles games called by anyone else other than Cometti. Robbo is an idiot and continually got players wrong but i did have a laugh when Wilson was at half forward looking for Wilson on a lead. LOL.

I thought Wilson was gonna kick it really high and then sprint down to the goal square and lead out and take the mark of his own kick

I'm not making excuses because we lost the game, I'm posting this because yesterdays coverage of the game was pathetic and 2nd rate. These so called 'professionals' can't even get the WCE players names correct. How could Sandy Roberts get Travis Gaspar confused with Adam Hunter... then only a few minutes later he called Greg Harding 'Callum Chambers' although that was impossible since Chambers was still on the bench! I'd like to write to the C7 Management about their performance, but then again we only have to put up with their ugly faces for another few months.
