Robert Harvey Retires

It was announced yesterday but is worth its own thread here.

An out and out champion. An elite player of the game. I am 31 years old and so there are few years that I've been watching footy and Robert Harvey hasn't been running around. Some of our posters weren't even born when Harvey made his debut.

What is amazing is the fact that his contemporaries like Loewe and Burke seem to have been retired for ages and yet Harvey is not only still playing but at a pretty high standard too. Great career.

Robert Harvey going means that the last constant in football that has been around since I was born is gone.

Amazing player and amazing durability. Generally the two don't go together.
