Would you consider him out greatest ever player? Absolute out and out champion. But the only guys I could possibly put infront of him would be the Doc, Ian Stewart and Plugger.

Thoughts?

Of the last 20 years, absolutely. Possibly of all time, but I never saw Mohr, MacNamara, Cumberland, Baldock, Stewart, etc play, so I couldn't possibly rate Harvs in opposition to these great champions of our past.
But easily the best Saints player I have seen in my 12 years of footy watching, yes.

RH35 best saint I've seen and the third best player I've even seen

lethal and voss1 take the kudo's

lethal will walk over the dead and bloody knives to win, and voss is the pure champion.

The best at St Kilda. Bar none.

Neck and neck with Carey for the best player of the past 20 years.

And the thing is, he's still doing it. And doing it just as well as anyone else.

Can't think of a player who has revolutionised the position of midfielder as much as Harvey. He's pioneered the ability to shrug tackles, re-invented the baulk, showed the football world how to 'find space' in packs and introduced a step-by-step methodology for beating taggers.

Not to mention fitness. The hardest working midfielder the game has ever seen. The pain barrier just doesn't seem to exist for Harvey.

Could do with a premiership, though. :p
