Just out of curiosity, has any news been released in SA regarding Robert Shirleys future. Not much has been mentioned in Vic. I noticed he hasn't nominated for the ND which leads me to believe that he may have verbally come to terms with a club that has yet been disclosed.

Hope he gets picked up somewhere cant think of a potential top 4 side that needs him though, maybe the hawks or brisbane might be interested.

Nah he was at the pearl jam concert in Adelaide the other night and my brother walked up to him and was talking to him for a while, and he asked him if he was going Into the ND and shirls just said how he wasn't going to.

I think SHirley would make a good playing coach in a lower competition

Apparently he's going to Ainslie in Canberra on a 'very lucrative' contract. Would have loved to see him back in the SANFL though, it would have been great for the competition.

Don't think it's totally over the line yet. They have a young baby and his wife wants to stay close to her parents who live here.
