Ok, maybe that title should read "Rodan does a knee for the third time" but in any event it's sad for the bloke. Will probably have LARS again I would have thought. He's almost 28!! Time flies

Surely we all send him our best wishes, as he's bloody fantastic to watch

Yes...those 3 legged players have always been prone to knee injuries.;)

This new technology though has created an interesting change in player attitude towards 'serious knee injuries' where they hope to be back training within weeks, not months. And out of playing at AFL level within months, not over a year. It seems Rodan is the test case for what can go wrong and will be interesting to see if over the next few years he can continue to keep himself on the park with 'fibre bands' continually being replaced.

Where will it end? Rods for breaks, bands for tendons...we just need something for the soft tissue above their shoulders now for some of them to have a long career at the highest level!

Apparently a wonderful bloke

Some prick will get a free ride in football.

Life sucks.

Didnt think it was possible to enjoy watching a player leave your club and do well at another club.

Really loved the way that he straightened up his play and became a good player for Port. Will be tough from here sadly.

All the very best to DR - often players leave a club and the general sentiment is "good riddance", however I have observed and heard from so many people the good wishes and hope for the future sent David's way.

He is truly a talented footballer, a person with great convictions for what is important to him in life [in particular his origins] and a man who does not just talk about what needs to be done, he goes out there and does it.

I wish DR all the best for a speedy recovery and a great second half of his career and I am sure that all Richmond supporters would be thinking the same thing.

Déjà Vu...

"Rodan ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament in a training injury in December 2009 and was expected to miss the entire 2010 season.[7] However, following ligament augmentation and reconstruction surgery, which replaced the torn ligament with one made of polyester fibres, Rodan was able to play in round six, 2010."
