I think rodan should get a full game on the ball.
He hasn't been doing anything up forward so move him around like u did with Pettifer.
What do u guys think

Rodan looks to be way down on confidence at the moment. Even when he kicked a sausage in the first quarter he didn't show his trademark enthusiasm. They need to try something with him. Giving him a good run in the middle is one possibility, but I think an extended stint back at Coburg where he can try and find some consistent form with a bit less pressure would be a better option.

Yes, a new coach. The current one has stripped him - any many others - bare of any confidence.

And that's obvious by the way they played that last game BUT I don't understand why because Spud always supports the players and never criticises them. He talks about sticking together and remaining positive.

After all that, why aren't they confident?

Because they can't understand the garbage that spills out of his and his assistants mouths. With all the sticking fat and cherry ripes being thrown around, the guys aren't actually sure what their role on the field is meant to be. Hopefully the next coach doesn't speak in tongues.

IMO Rodan should definitely be perservered with. He has been talked about here as trade bait by many, but I think he shows more than enough to give opposition teams a headache, and can break open the game at times. As soon as he is told that he doesn't need to overdo it, and gets enough smarts to know when to get rid of the ball, he will be very handy for us. Leave him on the field for the rest of the season.

Rodan... gee where do I start?

Rodan is trade bait material because they guy is a lazy bugger, doesnt want to do the hard stuff, wants the easy kicks, he is another Justin Murphy.

Coach, I watched Justin Murphy's first game for us against the bummers when he kicked 5 and Timmy Watson thumped him for doing so.

I was real upset when we traded him to Carlton so Richo could play with his best mate Ben Harrison.

Maybe a lazy bugger, but wish we'd kept him.

1980,

the fact that the guy has played at 4 different clubs means that he is a flash in the pan and not a team player IMO. He has 1 good year then does nothing for the remaining time at that particular team

Im not sorry we traded him at all.

yeah

Agree on Murphy but back on Rodan.

HE"S FAST.

And Richmond generally aren't.

Rodan will get it together

Fair enough CR. Dont think Harrison was that good for us either however.

I think Rodan has raw talent but is still learning the game. A better coach should get more from him.
