I reackon he is a pretty good pick-up was expecting a KPP around the neville pick, hopefully he can come in straight away like you said. Well have to wait and see .

Ok found this in Burgatrons phantom. Like the size. We have drafted for speed and Baileys run and carry game plan clearly

69 – BRISBANE LIONS – ROHAN BAIL
Mt Gravatt, QLD, Medium midfielder, 19 years old, 183cm, 91kg
(Draft range: 65-not selected)

A non-NAB AFL Draft Camp or state-screening invitee, Bail has done it the hard way. He represented the senior Queensland state side against Western Australia this year and also finished fourth in the Grogan Medal, the AFLQ's best-and-fairest award. Originally from Victoria, Bail has attracted strong interest in recent weeks, with the Lions the likely destination. But don't dismiss Carlton, Essendon or St Kilda with one of their last selections

Good player and a top bloke. Medium midfielder with slight frame who loves to take players on and run forward and kick goals. Is capable of kicking 2-4 goals a game playing in the midfield. Exceptional endurance runner. Guarantee you he will just about win any endurance race's. Trained with St Kilda and Melbourne last year but didn't get picked up. Won St Kilda's time trial. I would be suprised if he didn't get some game-time next. Best of luck Bails!

Thanks for the info and I don't want to sound like a smart arse, but how does a slightly framed endurance runner be 183cm and 91kg, surely one of those statements are wrong!

Bail has apparently won various State Level titles at middle distances and cross-country which he'd not be doing lumping 91kg. If he's "slight" 71kg would be about it.

Barry Prendergast's comments have him at a much more realistic 78kg
Selection No.64: Rohan Bail
Mt Gravatt, QLD, June 26 1988, 183cm, 78kg
"He was the rookie of the year in the QAFL this year. He was probably almost BOG in the grand final last year, and was a dominant player throughout the QAFL all year. He's got a bit bigger this year and has put on some size as a 20-year-old. He's an elite endurance runner and would win the 3km time trial at draft camp, and we like his attributes in terms of good balance and how he can go both ways with his feet. He's a little bit more speculative than the other guys in some sense, but in other sense, he's played a couple of years of senior footy and has been able to demonstrate that he can step up and play straight away."

Dal Santo was what I thought initially. At least we can all agree that he looks like a St Kilda player. :p

Like most I haven't heard too much about Bail. I did read that he runs 3km in 9.33, which would put him in pretty elite company at AFL level. Hopefully he's got some skills to go along with his running ability.

Hi Boys.

Rohan is my Old Man's "Grandson-in-Law".

He has a massive tank. Last year he trained with St Kilda before the draft and didn't get picked up. Came 2nd or 3rd in the time trial they held while he was training which if memory serves me right was a Tan run. Can go all day. :thumbsu:

Thanks for the info, sounds like he'll feel at home in Melbourne being a QLD boy originally.

On another topic Keef, since Rohan is your Old Man's "Grandson-in-Law" (lol) surely that more or less makes you part of the Melbourne Demons family now ;) Here's a link to our membership page :D

Guys, I think we should all welcome Keef to the family!

thanks mate, we're looking forward to seeing him strut his stuff in the NAB cup, all going well :thumbsu:

I selected Bail in a fantasy footy side, because I read an encouraging article on him in the Herald Sun. Since then I've seen or heard nothing. He's not playing for Casey and he's not on the injury list. What has happened?

He went on a drug fuelled bender, stopped over in Las Vegas, hit his girlfriend and then woke up four to six weeks later in Thailand. He then moved to Tasmania to train greyhounds for Ricky Ponting. Was last seen working as a fisherman with Allan Jackovich.
