Roo anoints VB for Captain!!

Seems Mark Ricciuto is of the opinion Nathan van Berlo is the right man to be our "next" captain, and given his intimate knowledge of the players characters and personalities I'm tipping he's most likely on the money.

WHEN Mark Ricciuto was recently asked to name the next Adelaide captain, his answer was a huge surprise.

The Crows great chewed up a second or two of thinking time before answering: "Nathan Van Berlo."
Every AFL fan in Melbourne almost certainly would have come up with at least five others to replace Simon Goodwin: Scott Thompson, Ben Rutten ... and so on.
But Ricciuto knows a thing or two about the Crows' inner sanctum, and Van Berlo it is.
Ricciuto's response - a shock at least for us this side of the border - summed up how far outside perception can differ from what matters most in the halls of power.
If Van Berlo gets the gig, he won't be the only new face lining up for the annual captains' photo shoot before Round 1, next year.

Well we won't know until the off-season but the majority of posters here think it will be VB even if they want it to be Danger or Knights or someone else. Good to see Victorian press admitting they don't know much about the Crows though.
