Gees lost my passport somehow in Vancouver. Otherwise would have been to Alaska on the top of the world highway. Settled in Dawson city for a while. You must have come from Europe not to have been to Hawaii Hoss, at least its airport.
What's the Mississippi like when you first see it.
On all occasions I've gone from London to New York. On the way back I've had direct flights from LA to Sydney, though a couple of times I've stopped at Tokyo en route back to Oz. I love most of the USA (LA excluded). Love the National Parks in California, Utah, Arizona. Fave city is New York, though love San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Boston. Even love Vegas (though left there once completely broke except for a Greyhound ticket to LA, and a return airfare to Sydney). Had a great experience in 2001, doing a roadtrip along Route 66.

I plan to... and i'll get a fridge magnet from each state.

So far i've only got California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas.

I actually collected MAPS when I've been there. They flat pack and don't take up much room. When you drive around the US you get them from roadside stops for free. Only other thing I've collected is different matches from all the casinos in Las Vegas (at least thats got something to do with the thread title).

No you don't get them from service stations but the "parking/camping areas" they have on the interstates. There's often just bathrooms, phones, cooldrink machines, dog exercise area and inside HEAPS of maps. Each state has its own free road maps at their "P's". How else are you meant to know where ya going?

Isn't Route 66 getting dug up. A straight through freeway now isn't there. Built a bike shed for the kids. Wrote a saftey message to them on the inside and route 66 on the outside of it. Its a local landmark by now. You get your clicks.
The USA is famous. There is no other place that the races of the world are meeting like there. Negroid slaves built the whitehouse. Some equalizing countering step in the futire and the place is going to be really respected.

Whats next .Ban smoking outdoors.Oh thats right they've already done that at outdoor footy grounds like the "g"
Have to chuckle at people who think smoke from cigarettes just "disappears into the air" when they are outside. I'll just go outside and set a pile of leaves on fire and test this theory.

Not just that either. Fresh air doesn't make the filth disappear when someone lights up in front of you in the street and the smoke blows back behind them into your face! Why should I put up with sucking in that rubbish because they want to satisfy their habit?
And I just love the way smokers treat the environment. I love the way they throw the used cigarette butt or the empty cigarette packet onto the street.

Such a filthy habit!
