Does anyone know why he was wearing it? I know that he had to pass a fitness test or something, did that have naything to do with it?

How good was it when he stole the ball from Ling and ran away when all the port players stopped haha

His tackling wa great aswell, the whole teams was.

During last weeks game, 2nd quarter, he was concussed, but they didn't realise.

During the third quarter while on the bench sitting next to Wojac, he was commentating on the game. Wojac asked him if he was alright, to which Rooke replied 'shut up, this is an important part of the game.'

After the game, Rooke broke down and began to vomit everywhere.

He is one tough mofo.

Did you see Mackie was wearing the helmet while they were singing the song
I reckon he was trying to disguise himself as Rooke so he doesn't get dropped.

You're not happy are you abletjnr?
I thought Mackie was ok, just had a few skill errors and left the ball behind once or twice. He did a good job as a half forward flanker though, he was found loose about 6 times about 70 out and kicked it nicely into the forward 50.

Not at all. And I shouldn't be.

I do not know how we won that game.

Mackie is nothing, nowhere. Slow-thinking, half-paced, no idea.

He is not a premiership player, and any team with him in their supposed 'best 22' as we had this round will not win a flag. End of story.

Disagree. He is not that slow, and he has very good football smarts and skills, but he let himself down today. I think he has a future in our line up. It may take awhile but he will be a handy flanker. He will not win us games off his own boot, but he will do a solid job.

You are right, he's not slow, but he jogs. He doesn't sprint, or even run. He jogs, everywhere, at anytime.

If we were 2 pts up in the dying seconds of a grand final and the ball was rolling towards opposition goal for them to win the game, Mackie would jog after it.

No he wouldn't.

Mackie's problem today was two fold:

1. He fumbled the ball in critical situations 2 or 3 times; and

2. His kicking was appalling.
Yep. For a guy with 'great skills', he sure has a shyte kick.

Must have a great handball.

I'm usually a Mackie fan and think his skills are generally above average for our team but today they were ****e.

God what a trooper :thumbsu:

On today's effort I'm hoping Mackie was drafted for his physical presence rather than his skills and footy smarts.

Love/likealot the Geelong recruiting dept., and appreciate it was a lean draft year in 2002, but give me pick 52 of the same year and I'm tossing over the pick.

I can't believe the words 'Mackie' and 'physical presence' were used together. The guy is built like a matchstick.

Thus emphasising Mackie's skill and footy smarts, or lack thereof.
