With the LTI to Scotty Lucas, which rookie should be elevated?

Out of Magin and Atkinson imo, Magin should get the nod though.

I'd probably go Atkinson though as he's more physically ready than Magin and because of the position he plays he's more likely to get a game.

I think Atkinson will be elevated -- there wasn't splitting the two I don't think (Magins best was better, Atkinson was more consistant). Atkinson adds more of a physical presence without losing any speed. Add to the fact that Atkinson only has a year to prove himself compared with Magin's two I think give Atkinson the nod.

From the little i have seen from all of them so far, barring Chatres as i've seen a lot of him, Magin would just get the nod.

He seems to have excellent disposal and decision making and also looks to be a smart player.

Atkinson would be the best bet I think. He is very quick and didn't he break a speed record.

I'd be happy with either one. They both showed they had that little bit extra whereas Danny Chartres is still yet to.

Magin showed he can read the play well and give himself time when he gets the ball, early days of course, but similar to Mercuri and even Hird. What I'm trying to is that he has good awareness for his age and experience.

Serioulsy it would be out of Magin and Atkinson.

Magin would play as a FP/HFF- well in that role he is behind the likes of Lovett, Davey, NLM, Monfries, Welsh, McVeigh, Lonergan etc. Would not get a game.

Atkinson would be lining up in BP, HBF and he would be behind- Nash, Dempsey, Myers, Pears, Ryder, Welsh, Winderlich etc. Again he wouldn't get a game.

Maybe in a months time if they've been cutting it up at VFL level then reward them with promotion. If not don't bother.

I think Magin would have his nose in front. But would Knights want another running/midfield type?
Considering we have Licker, Lovett, Welsh, Hocking, Monfries, Hislop and even Reimers not in the seniors at the moment, it's not as if we are need of Magin.

That's why I reckon Atkinson will get the nod, similar to NLM. Can play tall... Not sure he will get a game though in front of Myers, Lee or even CJ.

Just because someone is injured doesn't mean you have to up grade a player, If he is going to get a game, then bring him up, but don't bring him up if he is not ready, or you dont need him!

we are just observing who we would bring into the team list.
i didnt see anybody going on about how we really needed them for anything in particular.
they are just stating their own opinion on who they feel on the rookie list would be best suited to our team.
its no big deal.

I love how you know it for a fact. Im sure Knights and the coaching panel made their mind up early and are now telling it to everyone who ask's.....

Personally i think Magin is the best choice and if they are looking at swapping soeone in the midfield they will promote him. To be honest though they may not promote anyone. If they are one or two senior listed players already in line for selection then why promoted someone onto the senior list to continue playing for Bendigo.

i agree, everyone has to remember that gumbleton will be back in a couple of weeks and it gives him an awesome opportunity to develop into that key position player we will need after lucas is gone.
