Rookie Promotion

With Scott Lucas looking like being out for a while is it likely that one of the Rookies will be promoted? I'm not sure if it is a likely scenario as we have a lot of young players in the team already. We at least got a good look at them in the NAB Cup. I really liked the look of Rhys Magin.

but i personally believe they should bring in atkinson just because he is older, more mature also looked very good in the NAB cup

Atkinson should be the one we promote IMO. His size and speed could be more valuable and Magin is probably a little underdeveloped to make a big impact in the seniors.

They won't promote anyone. We should only promote them IF they are a realistic chance of playing in our top 22, and none of Magin, Atkinson, etc are commanding a top 22 spot.

Why would Atkinson be ahead of Lovett, Welsh, Pears, Myers (when he returns)?

We also have Hislop, Monfries and Reimers in the wings...

although i thought magin and atkinson played well in the nab cup; they surely aren't in our best 22.... and theres no point promoting them if they're not going to get a game.

Lovett and Myers and co are not slow. Atkinson is behind at least 5 players in the same spot. No point. Magin is a chance, but thats all.
