Apologies if this is a repetitive topic but all the talk of Jamison, Ellard and Curnow made me think about how well we've done out of the Rookie selections. .. So I had a look over the list and its pretty impressive:

Senior Listed Rookies

17 Setanta Ó hAilpín (73 games, 51 goals) - Re-invented as an AFL player, re-invented as a forward, re-invented as a backup ruck
32 Bret Thornton (164 games) - Stalwart and still contributing
38 Jeff Garlett (35 games, 63 goals) - Lighting it up, guts and determination in spades
40 Michael Jamison (60 games) - Future Captain Material
43 Simon White (10 games) - Playing above his height
44 Andrew Carrazzo (127 games, 38 goals) - Not the most gifted player but great at shutting down a man and still getting the ball
45 Aaron Joseph (46 games) - Great depth player and small tagger
46 David Ellard (9 games, 5 goals) - Pure heart and will power, drags himself into the side and never seems to drop his bundle

Actual Rookies

20 Rhys O'Keeffe - If he gets over the injuries could make something of himself, could be too late though
28 Jaryd Cachia - Another midfielder with heart and a great tackle
35 Ed Curnow (6 great games) - Where'd this guy come from
37 Joseph Dare - Still young, admit I don't know much about him
41 Levi Casboult - Looks like a spud but could be something, seems to have heart, shame about the injury
42 Zach Tuohy - Irish Mk II, recently elevated, seems to have a good attitude and I hear a great kick, massive legs ;)
47 Mitchell Carter - Supposed to be quick, don't know a lot about him
48 Blake Bray, 49 Peter Labi - Scholarship players tracking ok I hear

Edit: This list is impressive, a lot of thanks has to go to our recruiters for finding these gems. ..

I'm sure this has come up previously but I cannot for the life of me get the sites search page working*

Hehe a lot of toasting being done today. Ah well, we deserve it!

Personally I can't wait to see Cachia playing in the seniors. He's left a lasting impression from that first Nason tackle to his general intensity and attack on the ball. Skills are pretty rusty but he'll be a player :thumbsu:

Nup, PSD. Was never a rookie

True but PSD was then what effectively a rookie is now so as far as a bloke being drafted into the club outside the National Draft it's relevant tro include Eddie.

Of that OP list Garlett, Jamison and Curnow are absolute GOLD (and i still hold rather large clover for Zac too). :D:thumbsu:
