He was being interviewed before the Brisbane game on (I think) 3AW. When asked that very question, he said it was highly unlikely that he would return this year. All the ligaments are fine but there is still some nerve damage.
Seems a fair enough idea - there is certainly no need to risk him by rushing him back this year.

From what i heard on saturday up at coburg Rory was going to
get qualified to play in the finals up there ,he is not going to be risked in the 1s this season.
