The run back with the flight and mark on the goal square was great. Not just because he kicked the goal but because you could see he was busting a gut for the team

Co-captain has got to be something we consider at the end of the year instead of just handing it to Paddy. Sloane deserves it just as much as Dangerfield

Agree with that. Not a fan of co-captains and Sloane has stood out leadership-wise since his first preseason. Dangerfield in the leadership group and a "spiritual leader" but Sloane is absolutely top shelf captain material.

He's destined to be our version of Kirk.



That mark running with the flight was exceptional. It was Right In Front Of Me and I still have no idea how he swallowed it.

Rory IMO is more of an xfactor then Dangerfield. Anyone else laugh at the North Forward who thought they could run into an open goal with Dangerfield on his hammer? danger mowed him down like he was standing still. ****ing brilliant. lol

Absolutely agree. Co-captaincy is the worst idea bar none. Why? The short version is it splits playing group loyalties ( and anyone who thinks it wont doesn't understand the centrality of leadership) and it divides and diminishes leadership responsibilities - that's particularly problematic onfield where split second decisions need to be made, co-captain consultations aren't possible and one of the two co-captains invariably defers to the other. It's also a gutless way of avoiding making a hard choice (if there is one).

Said it before and say it again. Rory is displaying much more natural leadership style. Danger will probably get there but is too tunnel visioned onfield IMO. Rory for Captain for my money. And I'm going to throw the cat among the pigeons and say Richy Douglas or Tex for VC. ( OK... Go for your lives )

Douglas wouldn't be the worst choice for the leadership group at the very least. When Bling dropped that easy mark and gave away the goal against Geelong, Douglas sprinted half way down the field to give him some encouragement and support. Mark of a leader, IMO

I've spoken before on my respect for "The Ranger" but I was thinking would you blokes take LeCras for him ? we seriously need a mid with his grunt and I reckon the trade could get done. LeCras is a club favourite and would bring 40+ goals to the Crowies straight up and you guys wouldn't Miss Rory as much having Danger and Douglas.

Call me bias, but there is not 1 WC player I would give up for Rory Sloane. Skill, toughness, leadership and consistency all in 1 player. That does not come around every day.
