I'm not a Freo fan but this year they deserve all the respect they get. I was therefore delighted when Ross Lyon tore into one of the Jounos for harping on about possible reports after the game. Lyon correctly identified it had been one of the best games seen for a while and yet the media was more interested in trying to highlight some piddling incidents which were nothing more than minor items exagerated by serial divers in Johnson and Selwood. Of course Freo also have their divers in Ballentine and Crowley but yesterday's game was fine as far as most people were concerned.

This morning that self styled moral judge on everything football, Damien Barrett, tried to drum up some anger against Lyon but got no sympathy from the ex footballers on the panel. Hopefully the AFL will stop jumping to the tune of these idiot jounalists and this may then stop the attention being given to the press rather than the game itself

Incorrect. Chris Scott had his well away from any toilets. Ross Lyon was right next to a toilet although the stench of shit from the journalists in the room probably made matter worse

So let me get this straight - the journo asked a question (that's his job) and Lyon decided to bully and deride him. They don't HAVE to ask questions the coaches like (this isn't Russia). It was very poor from Lyon. Any coach could belittle a journo but most choose not to. A severe lack of class on this occasion.

I think it's hilarious that someone made a journalist accountable and the bloke's skirt went flying up in the air (along with Barrett and other so-called 'journalists'). The footy media has zero accountability and it makes me larf when someone actually calls them on their behaviour.

1. I don't think anybody thinks the coaches have to answer questions if they don't want to. They simply do not need to be arrogant and condescending if they don't like the question.
2. The bloke's skirt didn't go flying up in the air. Other journos went in to bat for him.

It was a reasonable question (was it the first one?). However, it was fair enough for Lyon to have a crack back, but he went WAY over the top, and went on and on and on and on

It didn't help that it was asked by that try-hard, Shane McInnes.
