Possible line up...

B: Zantuck Gaspar A Kellaway

HB Cameron Hall Torney

C: Bowden Knights Tivendale

HF: Houlihan Ottens Fiora

F: Hilton Richo Rogers

R: Stafford Campbell King

Int: Krakouer Holland Rodan Sziller

A risk taking stafofrd in but other than that a pretty strong line up..would be tempting to play fiora up back again..
With the likes of DK Biddiscombe Hudson Coughlan Chaffey to come in its looking good..

I agree with almost every line

exceprt

HB Cameron Holland Torney

And Hall coming of the bench.

I think you did a pretty good Job. The depth at the clud is unbelieveable at the moment. With Duncan and Chaffey to come back in its going to be tuff in the committee room.
I think Biddiscombe will regret asking for so much money at the start of last year. He didn't desire a longer contract because of his injuries. His only had one good year (2000) the rest have been injury riddled. Another up and down year again then I think Rich should trade him.

Let's face it, we are only playing Collingwood. There ruck options are a little limited. I think we can afford to let Stafford get some game time with Coburg and run a ruck consisting of Hall and Ottens with Holland assisting in parts.

Remember, we let Steve McKee go because Hall AND Steinfort were better options ahead of him. McKee represents Collingwoods best option here.

I also would like to see Rodan in the centre square at the start of the game along with Campbell (master of the quick kick) and King.

should win. start rodan in the centre and i say 2 big men (otto and richo) to start in the forward line which leaves hall and holland to rotate the backs

As for stafford there is only way to come up to speed inthe AFL and that's by playing AFL...and I should know because I played U 15's with Sorrento...:p anyway you're all on the money by getting Rodan in the middle...Norwich Rising Star between Krakeour and odan I reckon.
From the team that played the Wizard final....

yes damnfine I agre with that one

out : Vardy.Newman.poyas.pettifer
in : stafford and Gaspar.

PS : But theres a ruck rover in Poyas somewhere.
Wasn't that pre-season a great experience for the young fellas ?
:)

Looks pretty close to the line up we might run with, but am tempted to start Rodan in the centre, Krakeour instead of Rodgers, and Knighter to rove instead of King. BUT the BIG QUESTION MARK wil be on Stafford ! Jeez I hope we havent erred in picking him, you dont need a good ruckmen to win games but it sure helps.

My selsctions

Possible line up...

B: Chaffey Gaspar A Kellaway

HB Hall Holland Cameron

C: Bowden Knights Tivendale

HF: Houlihan Richo Fiora

F: Hilton Ottens Krakouer

R: Stafford Campbell King

Int: Hudson Torney Rodan Sziller

My Reasons:

Chaffey: Experience primarily, had an outstanding season last year and is proven down back, gets lots of possessions and is capable of setting up forward thrusts from the back line.

Gaspar: Self explanatory, walk up start if fit

A Kellaway: Proven backman ( all Australian ), can take a good grab. I have a feeling frawley had him up forward for the wizard wok so that he could gain some added experience of how forwards have to think in that position. This will give him added ability in predicting the actions of his opponents and will undoubtedly improve his game. Plus he can be an added option for frawley up forward at a latter date.

Hall: The form player of the side at the moment, couldn't leave him off the ground, very versatile, can play back, forward or float around the ground. With Torney comming off the bench we don't loose much in the backline and this will allow hall to go to other places on the ground to create more options.

Holland: Walk up start

Cameron: Walk up start

Bowden, Knights, Tivers: Walk up starts

Houlihan: Looked the goods in the wizard wok, one of our better players.

Richo: Must play CHF, this position gives him enough space for him to inflict the damage we know he can create. When on song, he marks everything and has a huge impact, walk up start.

Fiora: Versatile, can play forward and back, with him in the side our options increase.

Hilton, Ottens: Walk up starts

Krakouer: Obvious crumber, needs valuable game time in the big stuff, he is going to be something special, needs to play, he isn't going to get the experience he needs in the seconds.

Stafford: Vital that he plays, alot of our plans this year revolve around this guy being fit and able to take the feild. The more Ottens can stay out of the ruck and play up forward the more stable our forward set up will become and we should kick some big scores.

Campbell: Walk up start.

King: Will play, but needs to start making a bigger impact, he has Rodan, Zantuck, Poyas and Coughlan breathing right down his neck.

Hudson: Forward interchange, will probably get the nod because of his experience and an opportunity to show his wears.

Torney: Backline interchange, Could start on the ground and chaffey on the bench because of chaffey's lack of match fitness.

Rodan: Anticipation plus, shown to much to be denied, a bit like Krakouer in that he is going to learn more and mature faster by playing in the real deal than the seconds. He could be the answer to all our prayers in the midfeild.

Sziller: Quality stopper, second only to a fully fit Duncan Kellaway.
