Came for the melts and was not disappointed.

In all seriousness, I’d love nothing more than for the match committee to prove us wrong, but I don’t see how it happens.

It’s been raining for a week, and there’s a soccer game on the night before, so the playing surface will be an absolute mud pit by half time. Everyone knows this, and we go in taller? Un-****ing-fathomable.

Kinda want the 'aints to kerb stomp us with these selections.

MC still off with the ****ing fairies

Reckon we're still likely to win - which is what we want, but we should be having an eye on the future by doing it with some of the younger personnell.

Especially next week against North - should be seen as a real chance to get a win with the likes of Harvey and Dewar in the side. I'll be very disappointed if it is the likes of Gaff and Sheed singing the song after that game instead.

Fingers crossed.

yall really getting your panties in a knot over this dude

Simmo doesn’t need the younger guys , he’s seen enough all he needs is Harley to front end the older players to the finals ..

I can see what the match committee are doing, sort of swapping one winger (Hunt) for another.
Gaff has been in the mix, so if you dont give him a go now, it means there is no selection integrity.
I guess they have Culley and Trew pigeon holed as different sort of players - potentially more inside.

I wonder though if they are waiting for the weather before potentially dropping a tall in the last couple of hours?

Good lord these are awful changes.

After a near 100 point drubbing this is the best the MC can come up with? I thought we'd moved past this crap.

Sheed had 6 disposals and 0 tackles FFS. How on earth is that accepted for a bloke of his experience and stature and why wasn't he instantly made an example of this week? A leader doing the exact opposite of leading.

The Gaff inclusion looks a lot less dumb if the above has already happened. Gaff is pointless, serves no purpose and is the furthest thing from a sensible addition IF it's a wet weather game. That said, at least he's gone and spent a large block in the WAFL so hopefully he's at least got the heart muscle turned on.

Would also have preferred to leave Flynn in the WAFL for at least another week. Big lump who's clearly short of a gallop or three, going to come straight back in to ruck against a quality endurance beast like Rohan Marshall in potentially wet game no less. Even in dry conditions it's just dumb. A risk we don't need to be taking. We've rushed players back numerous times and it seems we're doing it again.

Trew missing out is also garbage. What exactly is the point of retaining that bloke on the list when he still can't get a crack in conditions that suit him, after being BOG in his grade, and watching the senior mids above him fail to fire a shot at AFL level. He was an absoute shoo in inclusion. Makes no sense.

After a 100 pt loss here's the message we send

OMITTED - Dewar (2 games), J.Williams 20 games
0 tackles and he was meant to be tagging....

What's concerning is that it took forever to get Gaff OUT of the side in the first place. 2 seasons of sub par games and then a 4D effort to kick off the year in a 50pt pantsing to the Power.

Now he's back and done his stint in the WAFL, unfortunately I can see him sticking around for a bit, particularly if we knock off a couple of these spud teams over the next few weeks. We already know how hard it is to dislodge one of Simmo's credit crew from the seniors, I'm curious what young player for the Beagles will turn water into wine and do enough to satisfy the MC into giving them a game over Gaff.

Clearly Trew's efforts aren't enough on the back of 36D and 4T to beat Sheeds 6D, 0T performance.

Swinging dick Hewett is our only hope.

Don't mind the Gaff in, he's earned a recall through the WAFL.
Worst sponsor ever, but...

Has he really? There's a reason Gaffy has become obsolete in this side. He's too slow, his disposal lacks penetration, he can't defend nor tackle. He played a good game against Claremont but outside of that his stats have been decent, but his impact on games? Minimal.

Our injury list isn't long enough to justify his inclusion in the side right now. Want a winger? Push Petch up there and keep Dewar in the side instead.

Returning to this well is a big step in the wrong direction. Let's hope it is a (very) temporary one.

Praying Hall and HJ in particular have great games on Sunday against quality opposition.

Agreed. Would have much rather given Bailey a rest, the kids a chance against Saints and Roos and had a look at Maric on a HBF:

B: Duggan Barrass Hough
HB: Maric Gov Cole
C: Chesser Kelly Ginbey
HF: Cripps Darling Petruccelle
F: Waterman JWilliams Ryan
R: Flynn Yeo Reid
I: Hall Culley Dewar Johnston
Sub: Burgiel

Development is more important than wins at the moment, but I reckon this side would beat Simmo’s side anyway.

Reid vs Reid would be spectacular.

I hope Bailey can make some impact as a forward but I still question his forward craft and set shot kicking. I think Jacks been growing and someone that might not explode this year as a 21 year old but he is definitely going in the right direction tbh. With a work horse like Williams I prefer to have a proper forward and someone that can pinch hit like a williams than a ruck/fwd like Billiams. Thats said would be even harsher to drop Billiams tbf and he deserves the first crack to see if he can sement his spot.

Hopefully Jack not only takes out his disappointment and frustration on the WAFL defenders but start implementing Whats he’s learned at AFL level. Reckon he’ll be a proper threat if the Beagles of last week rock up

Hedwards is a shocking call this week but I hope he plays a ripper and displaces rotham back to the two’s. Rothams had a few ok games but unlike Witho he still has had a heap of nightmare moments. More than happy to give Hedwards the opportunity to potentially grow into our next key back and let Gov do what glass did late in his career play that third tall role.

Can't expect us to take this post seriously when you slip this in at the end.

Trew doesn’t really have a spot available in the team. But yeah sheed should 100% be out for Johnson.

I seriously hope St Kilda are the slowest team in the competition.
Because if they're not that prize belongs to us and we'll be traffic coned to death... again.
