Time to make the customary prediction based purely on the first game of the round...

Dayne Beams. Great game tonight.

If it wasn't for Tayte Pears last week he would have gone close then.

Was good, don't think he was outstanding though. Dick was good also, might pip Beams IMO.

Unfortunately I think the huge media boner for Natanui will see him get over the line this week. It won't even take a giant of a game, but without Cox in the side, he will be a very good chance to take it. Will wait and see how the rest of the round unfolds obviously

yeah but the thing is rich doesn't get the easy possessions on the half back flank like grimes stats aren't everything. Rich is a much better player then Grimes atm.

Wow, how could everybody miss dayne beams? You'd think his performance would have been good enough to get some recognition, maybe even slot into the first post - but no sign.

I actually thought Beams was one of our best tonight. He is so courageous and generally makes pretty good decisions on the field. His handballing is a massive strength. Likes to kick a goal too. He's the obvious front runner for nomination this week so far, but with 7 games to go it's just way too early to call so far.
