Ibbotson looks good, Hartlett starting to come good again, Ellis just an off night, reckon he's gotta be in there still. My other def is Harbrow whose been fairly consistent all year.

I don't think that was the major issue. He is their main "switch" player and last night it looked like Bulldogs made a massive effort to stop Richmond from going side to side uncontested.

In previous weeks Ellis is often completely open on the other side of the ground but last night Macrae stuck very closely with him. Not a tag, just more of a defensive effort. Richmond also seemed to ignore him more often than usual. Usually he is one they look for.

I'm confident he will bounce back though.

It's basically a raffle. I will be bringing Heppell back in this week to give me a back line of Gibbs, Goddard, Heppell, Hanley, Scotland and Ellis but Scotland looks past it and Hanley is getting tagged like Birchall (plus he is getting played as a forward by Voss).

I might eventually bring in another premium back but at this stage I will stick to those 6. I don't see the point in upgrading Scotland when so many other premium backs are failing. Don't trust Ibbotson yet.

As for my trades this week, I think Vlaustin might go. With Conca and Ellis back in the side he is seeing no midfield time. I have enough cash for a double upgrade but Daniher is on the bubble so will be bringing him in.

B.Goodes/Macaffer -> Daniher

Week after:

Blicavs -> McEvoy (should be just about a straight swap)
B.Goodes/Macaffer -> Bartel

So if he is ok, my second trade would be either Dwyer to Martin, or Goodes to Gibbs. What's the better combo, Macaffer and Gibbs, or Goodes and Martin? Vlaustin will have to survive, but he can sit on the bench.

I really need Ibbotson to have a blinder today- there is no obvious upgrade for Vlas at this stage. I already have Goddard, Heppell and Gibbs, with Birchall and Hartlett rounding out my defence. Not sold on Hanley anymore. Maybe I should have a rant about the "forward tag" in the Vent thread.
