Good morning flogs. It’s around 3.30 a.m GMT just now. I made the mistake of drinking coffee late and now can’t sleep. I should be able to get some Kip before rejoining you for bounce up. A tough fixture, but let’s see how Saints go.

No idea what to expect here. Could get done by 10 goals or could pull out a repeat of the last time we played them and I wouldn’t be surprised.

One of the interesting things with the list at the moment is we have about five guys that are potential mids that look far too good for the VFL in that position but haven't quite put it together at AFL level.

Boxshall, Garcia, Trav, Pou, even Wilson, have dominated midfield at VFL already and showed some signs at AFL level but not consistently.

We need some of these guys to become consistently very good to elite players in midfield at AFL level. Three playing today, hopefully some good signs.

Wilson, Henry, Hall, Owens, Windy, Garcia, Nasiah, Tauru, Trav, Keeler.

Bonus points if Steele, Sinclair, Macrae all have AA level midfield synchronicity today.

Beat them by 61 points last month (more like two months ago, but on a technicality) I’m watching for the youth, but another win isn’t out of the question.

Need to see some kids gain some confidence take a step forward then can walk away happy
I think Freo have analysed the crap out of what Ross and co did last time so they’ll be ready for us to try clampbthen again
I wouldn’t mind seeing us go another way for a period at least and take it on

Heath is also bloody unfortunate to not have had a debut by now. He’s been killing it in the VFL this year.

Last game he had over 30 hitouts and two goals.

The good thing about having a Saints obsessed 5 year old is no matter what, you want the win, for their sake. Would love to pull something out of the bag today.

Not sure what the club is doing with Heath. By now, I thought he would have been given some game time in the seniors just to see how he adapts. We are lacking in physical strength and marking across the ground.

Probably agree but when he's been picked he's only ended up getting about 50% game time. Not sure if that's because of tank or just because they prefer others, but not much point having him in at AFL level if he's not actually going to do enough minutes.

He needs the time and in the middle. Think he deserves it.

I would love to see us beat Freo again today but I doubt it will happen.

They play better at home and are playing better now than when when we beat them last time.

They should also be more motivated to win with a chance of playing finals unlike us.

Losing is probably a better result for us now so that we can get better draft picks but I hope we are still playing to win.
