Not catching the ressies as well?will be heading off soon from the beautiful scenic rim, first to watch eldest grandson play way over at Narangba (around an hour and a half drive) then back to dutton park and head out to a late lunch somewhere and a stroll to the gabba to witness the giant slayers in action.
as usual the highlight will be watching the young blokes. come on boys, lets stick it up all these external doom sayers and put in a ferocious effort.

no, would love to but family comes first. love watching the grand kids play, the youngest (5 year old girl) recently went through the aus kick program and can't wait to play next season. i saw the ressies play the swans at yeronga recently, that was a massacre on grassNot catching the ressies as well?![]()

Hope it all goes well Surly.Have to miss this one today so they will probably win now....
First home game I have missed this season - SWMBO's fault - she gets checked into hospital at 6 pm tonight as we are expecting a new addition to the Surly family in the next 24 or so hours. Bad timing really!!
Good luck Surly.Have to miss this one today so they will probably win now....

Good luck Surly.
I for one am dragging my feet to The Gabba this arvo with absolutely no enthusiasm, but it is good to get out of the house. Right?
I like drinking. (Mostly in moderation now). But in no way would my liver ever accept this challenge. Way too much red cordial. How am i meant to sleep. Not that I advocate drinking (rotten, disgusting, pathetic substance that alcohol is. Ruins everything) but take a shot (of red cordial) every time:
-A Lions player dishes off a hospital handpass
-A Lions player misses a tackle
-The Lions come bursting out of defence, only to stop dead because no one is running in the forward line
-The Lions turn it over
-We miss a gettable goal
-A player passes it to a team mate who's clearly under pressure
Have the two of you thought about trading places?Good luck Surly.

Just back from Budapest but will be watching this game in Canberra. The above speaks for me; some of the young blokes giving us some hope for the future and Robbo giving us a thrill today.Would love a win. But I'll settle for some run off the half back with huge metres gained from ruebs cuts and mayes. 5 goals between Hips and the schachsta. Keeping the giants under or close to 100 points. Robbo with 30 touches 10 tackles and 3 TKO's.
We tried that once but couldn't agree on who got to be Eddie Murphy.Have the two of you thought about trading places?

Same really. Trying to facw the positives. Fresh air, a couple of kms walk, excuse for a beer on a Sunday afternoon.I for one am dragging my feet to The Gabba this arvo with absolutely no enthusiasm, but it is good to get out of the house. Right?

Diabetes doesnt exactly work that way. Although instead of your liver copping a flogging your pancreas will certainly feel the pinch. With red cordial that will give you diabetes in one day
