I'm loving the extreeeme planning ahead that's going on on these boards, which is completely necessary btw, so i'm starting to plan out my Round 17 trades.

So i'm planning on Picking up big Jobey Watson after the MBR (trading him in after the peptide investigation scare that will dip his output around round 10 resulting in a low price for the champ in round 14, I'm guessing and don't quote me on this that he'll be at death's door, sleepless nights with the investigation but then will get over it after DMoo swept the investigation under the carpet to save face on his drugged up Brownlow champion, and after this he'll step back in price. However he's coming up against bi Ryan Crowley ona friday night in the west in Round 7 so i'll be trading him out to Shuey who is about to go bang against Melbourne this week, they might have included Jesse Hogan in full forward (bloody brilliant downgrade target around round 11 might i add, but they still havent won a game yet, Swanny scored 250 against them on the queens Birthday and i reckon Shoe can bang out 140+, especially since Viney was promoted to captain and Jones dropped leaving their weak midfield even more exposed.

So Watson > Shuey will be trade 1.

Secxond trade, now i know the line ups havent been released for Round 17 but i've got some sneaky inside mail that T. Menzel will be making a properdebut for the Blues this week, he's been chopping it up in the ressies, and i know he did okay in his two games as the sub in rounds 11 and 15 but he's going to be unleashed for a full game against the cats this week, he'll be lining up against his brother and should make a splash GET ON HIM, i'm cashign in my Joe Daniher cash cow, milking that lanky spud who only netted me 40k because he can't handle AFL football and pickign up the south australian adonis in T. Menzel.

So Danniher > Menzel

What's veryone else planning on doing for their round 17 trades?

coming from a retired person - you clearly have far too much time on your hands, spend less of it on dream team, and more of it on your humour

So youre the guy I'm hunting from second, what out, I'm having a big one

You'd be winning if you had Fyfe, it's our only POD ;)

Coming from someone who was recently a student... we have more time on our hands than retirees. Weekends with the grandkids? forgetaboutit.

Putting the bic C on my main man Toby Greene this week. So glad I traded him back in after Rd5 ...I told you all he was going to average 110+ this year!

Ziebell > Swan
Cordy > Maric

Everybody was laughing at me when I said that JZ would average more than Swan... LOOK AT ME NOW!
So glad I jumped on that Cordy train, who would've thought he'd over take Minson at number one ruck and average 70 hitouts a game? Not me..

Being a retiree and all, you might know...how many DT points were place kicks worth? ...were one handed handballs worth 2 DT or 1?

I've noticed that you even put some variation of the word "retired" in all of your posts on the main board as well. That's dedication.

Or forgetful.... He might have 'forgotten' that he's mentioned it 1000 times already....

I think I'm playing that guy in the Bay13 league this week. Surprised to see that he doesn't have Ben Hudson or Dean Brogan in his rucks.

Has Coventry in the forwards, I can't even find him in the list.... :p

well seeing as you brought up retirement and the good ole days - I'm not sure if you're aware but they didn't have dream team back then, what with the lack of internet and all, the five richest kings in the world may have played it, being the only people with computers, but i doubt it. However, they did have a number of what i guess you could call 'fantasy' games in many of the newspapers. the daily news and weekend mail use to run a number of games, but they were largely prediction based, although i suppose dream team is too. The Herald was relatively weak back then by comparison to the sun news-pictorial, which was a bit more interactive, but the Argus was definitely the best for 'fantasy football', shame you had to wade thru all the left wing propaganda first before you got there
