I think Carlton V West Coast highlights that the whole shorts debate is outdated and needs to go.

Would West Coast be more inclined to wear their clash jumper if the AFL said you can wear your Royal shorts?

They were initially worn against North Melbourne earlier in the season as a one off throwback and have been worn in every home game since. They also have the old VFA side stripes on there which looks nice. Haven’t gotten around to asking why they’ve decided to do it but I’m definitely a fan of it.
