Surprised I haven't seen a thread about this yet. For those of us without GAJ who are you going to pick?

I was going Selwood but now he is a doubt, thought Goodes could be a shout but last time he played Richmond was terrible. Judd who is often a good choice is playing an undermanned Cats but it is a pretty big risk when up against the pink pig.

Jolly should dominate ruck but not get many possessions around the ground. Sandilands is up against the best ruck pairing in Brogan / Lade.

Of the forwards J Brown seems the best option, in good form against the decaying bombers? away game though. Franklin is risky even against a depleted StK and Pav will get tagged if he plays in the middle or get no supply if up forward.

Safest bet may be just to pick Broughton

I've got Hodge, but it's a risky move. Although considering I am -2 in defence, -1 in midfield and -1 up forward I need my captain this week to pull a monster score. I think J Brown is the frontrunner at the moment but will reassess before lockout.

Tempted by Goodes against Tigers. Brown is a strong candidate as is Bartel and Franklin.

Something weird has happened. I am sure I had Ablett as captain but on checking tonight it looks like it's Hargrave. Not sure how that happened but after Ablett's 81,I don't reckon I'll be much worse of because of it.

Goodes VC with J Brown C didn't work out so well but at least I still got Goodes' monster score. Maybe the lesson learnt is to captain whoever is playing Richmond?

In hindsight that seems like it would have been a very nice bet.
