Are you kidding yourself. Hawthorn got 55,000 against another Victorian team, as if you will break 50,000 against an interstate team. And then you say Bulldogs will only get 24,000.

PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE ONCE IN A WHILE!!!!!!

Perhaps you should pass some of that common sense to the MCC;

AFL Round 19: Hawthorn v Brisbane
Date/Time: Sat Aug 11, 2007
2:10pm AEST
Public Gates Open: 11:00am
AFL Gates Open: 11:00am
MCC Members Gate Opens: 11:00am
TAB Opening Time: 11:00am
Curtain Raiser: VWFL Final - Melbourne University v St Albans (11.10am)
Estimated Attendance: 48000

In fact, according to the MCC, 51,000 for the Hawthorn/Brisbane game is alot more realistic then 60,000 for the Richmond/Collingwood game, which is only expected to draw 52,000.

They also only predicted 51,000 would turn up to the Hawks-Bombers game last week and got 55,000+

In contrast, the Dogs only got 33,000 last week on the Friday Night stage - against a Victorian based club with 30,000+ members, and are away to the lowest drawing side in the competition 24,000 is very flattering.

The Kangaroos only drew 21,000 vs. Melbourne 3 rounds ago, why would the Bulldogs be any different?

Brisbane Lions - 40 points

Fremantle V Essendon - Freo by 15. The Dons to make their members proud of them.

We got 48,000 vs the swans "an interstate team" you fool. But hey don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

We're hardly the same as the other interstate clubs though, we came from here and have 10,000 members in Melbourne. I guess Brisbane are similar with the Fitzroy connection.

But Hawkk's right, Hawthorn and Brisbane will draw about double the Dogs and Dees match.

That's very true, look at the Victorian Swans games this year;

Richmond vs. Sydney - 38,000
St Kilda vs. Sydney - 39,000
Kangaroos vs. Sydney - 28,000
Hawthorn vs. Sydney - 49,000
Collingwood vs. Sydney - 55,000+?

The Swans probably have 15,000+ Victorian based fans that go to matches.

ummm the swannys used to be south melb remember.....the swans probly have 15,000 fans in melb....10,000 of them being members, on the other hand the lions only have around 6,000 members in melb sooooo a crowd of 40,000 would be the go

the dogs and dees on the other hand will only draw between 24-27,000..the dees fans hate TD and the dogs season is nearly over but not quite, so only the hard core supporters will be attending like me:thumbsu:

coll 30-finals, richmond spoon
port 40-playing the blues
dogs 30-finals still just alive
hawks 20-will shut down brown
weagles 40-to much class for roos
swans 10-peaking at the right time, cant afford to drop it same as saints
freo 20-surley freo wont let us down again
geel 10-playing like premiers

Richmond vs Collingwood @ MCG

We'll be too good IMO - hopefully we can get some percentage.

Hawthorn vs Brisbane @ MCG

Brisbane are playing with so much confidence. I think they are a good chance to cause an upset.

Port Adelaide vs Carlton @ AAMI

Port will bounce back.

Bulldogs vs Melbourne @ TD

The Dogs should get back on the winners list. Their opposition is playing for the end of the year.

Sydney vs St.Kilda @ TS

Ross Lyon's old mob. They are very good.

Geelong vs Adelaide @ SS

Geelong are cruising at the moment. This is a danger game, but they should beat the Crows.

Kangaroos vs West Coast @ TD

West Coast easy.

Fremantle vs Essendon @ S

Fremantle will kill any finals aspirations Essendon had.

I don't disagree with what you’re saying; I just generally go with the MCC estimates. The MCC is estimating a crowd of around 48,000 will turn up to the game...Hawthorn has a large bandwagon and traditionally draw strongly to games on Saturday afternoons (35,000) and given it’s a ‘Fitzroy’ game I would assume 10-15,000 Lion fans would also make the trip as well – hence the optimistic 50,000 estimate, probably closer to 45,000.

I think, given Saturday Night is a Melbourne home game – where Bulldogs members don’t get free access may keep the crowd won to low 20,000’s. Had it been a Bulldog home game, where the 25,000+ Bulldog Victorian members would have got free access, I would have predicted 28-30,000 (24,000 Dogs, 4,000 Melbourne)

Having said that, hopefully the Bulldogs and Hawks win their next 2 fixtures and the Sunday afternoon game in round 21 can draw 40,000+ (25,000+ Dogs, 15,000 Hawks)

Collingwood by 37 points vs Richmond
Brisbane by 15 points vs Hawthorn
Port Adelaide by 65 points vs Carlton
Sydney by 39 points vs St.Kilda
Western Bulldogs by 20 points vs Melbourne
West Coast by 25 points vs Kangaroos
Geelong by 30 points vs Adelaide
Freo by 19 points vs Essendon

Hawthorn vs Brisbane @ MCG

Brisbane are playing with so much confidence. I think they are a good chance to cause an upset.

I woudn't call it an 'upset' if Brisbane won, in fact if the past is anything to go Brisbane should go in favourites - we are their bitches.

The bookies have the odds at 1.85 each which IMO is spot on, had it been at the GABBA instead of the MCG, the Lions would go in firm favourites

I would'nt think playing Sydney and Adelaide in the last two rounds would be considered terribly easy??

We havn't beaten Melbourne since 2002 either....

We beat them in 2003.

Need I remind everyone of the Manuka Curse.Sydney has NOT won @ home (scg or Telstra) after winning the previous week @ Manuka. They have won twice the following week(03 & 05,one @ home ! away)after losing @ Manuka.
I believe its a very hard ground.Look for St. Kilda to come out strong like last time.No doubt they'll watch the Swans V. Pies tape several times this week.

Richmond vs Collingwood by 54 points

Hawthorn vs. Brisbane by 12 points

Port Adelaide vs. Carlton by 44 points

Bulldogs vs. Melbourne by 10 points

Sydney vs. St.Kilda by 22 points

Geelong vs. Adelaide by 4 points

Kangaroos vs. West Coast by 17 points

Fremantle vs. Essendon by 35 points

Lol @ all these people tipping against Geelong. The cats will eat the birds right up and firm to about $1.02 in premiership betting.

Richmond vs Collingwood - Pies should not have too many problems overcoming the Tigers, they need a percentage boost and I think they will get it this week, Pies my 35 pts

Hawthorn vs Brisbane - Massive game for both teams, Lions are playing terrific football while the Hawks look like they may be regaining some form, this will be a thriller and I think the Lions will just get up, Lions by 4 pts

Port Adel vs Carlton - Power to bounce back with a comfortable win over the Blues, Power by 25 pts

Melbourne vs West Bulldogs - Must win game for Dogs, like Pies and Power should have little problems winning this week, Dogs by 33 pts

Sydney vs St Kilda - Huge contest between these two, Saints have never played at TS so that will be an advantage for the Swans, think they will overun Saints in the second half, Swans by 12 pts

Kangaroos vs West Coast - Both teams will be desperate to bounce back after last weeks losses, will tips the Roos only because its in Melbourne, Roos by 7 pts

Geelong vs Adelaide - This will be a good test for the Cats in the lead up to the finals, expecting a very similar game to the last one, Cats to make it 14 in a row and offically sow up top spot, Cats by 10 pts

Fremantle vs Essendon - Man the Dockers are one frustrating team to tip, if they play like they did on the weekend they should beat Essendon but anything is possible, Dockers by 24 pts

Crowd predictions:
Richmond vs Collingwood @ MCG - 53,000
Hawthorn vs Brisbane @ MCG - 38,000
Port Adel vs Carlton @ AAMI - 25,000
Melbourne vs W.Bulldogs @ TD - 22,000
Sydney vs St Kilda @ TS - 45,000
Kangaroos vs West Coast @ TD - 22,000
Geelong vs Adelaide @ SS - 21,500
Fremantle vs Essendon @ Subi - 37,000
