Bootsma has been pretty good so far in this physical contest given that his small frame apparently means he can't handle AFL yet.
Judd really plays his best football going head to head with the opposition's best. Well on top of Swan.
Lesser names stepping up.
Big forwards getting in the right spots and bringing it to ground for the smalls really well. They aren't doing much but they are impacting the contest and are looking dangerous.
Rowe can play the game.
Jamison and Henderson looking excellent. Laidler looking ok so far.
Center clearances are everything. When we win them we win, we need to keep winning them. Moments during the game where we had runs not winning the clearances hurt us.
Bootsma putting his body in when he spoils this week which he didn't do last week. Playing a good game.
Davies needs confidence and to attack the footy harder and be less hesitant and stand off ish. Great build for the game.
Concerns for me are Lynch and Blair. Blair smashed us in the first quarter and we were too slow to react but we have shut him up a bit. Lynch looks very strong in around the ground ball ups and is influencing the contest. Kreuzer also playing well though.
Brock Mclean very likely to have an impact later in the day, ideal situation for him.
Get the feeling that this game will come down to who wins the clearances and makes the least mistakes.

He may have made some blues (though the ump was cruel to him) but it's been so good to have Bell in there. Some his work has been important in the centre clearances.

yeah at the half, he's in my top 5 for the Blues. jamo, Judd, robbo, kreuzer and carrots. Big men - Rowe and Cas arent exactly making a case for keeping hammer out next week.
