I thought Armitage looked good, what more were you expecting from him ?

Taranto did score really well. I missed that game through work, what type of role did it look like he was playing ?
What happened to Armitage after 1/4 time? He had 43 at that stage and then scored 37 in the following 3 quarters.

Was considering going two mid-pricers to one rookie for cash generation and one keeper. That being:
Christensen to Garlett and Armitage to Coniglio. Would then be able to bring in Bonner the following week if he performs OK against Sydney.

Probably should have not suggested that trade

Anyway, I'm quite fond of Naughton to Simmo at the moment. Trade that makes the most sense I've thought of so far

First game back after a long, long layoff. Was always gonna struggle to have that 4 quarter impact. Look at O'Meara last year. Started game on fire then died in a lot.

I'm backing in Armo v Norf this week

I just see 80 points as a pass mark for someone of his value. While it's fraustrating that he faded, it's a good thing he can score heavily in a quarter, especially the start and not junk time either

Could be a simple fitness issue or building confidence as he returns.

Yeah I'm pretty tempted to go Merrett > Coniglio/Cripps and then Alex Neal-Bullen > Billings. I just don't know if I should give him another week to perform or not.

I've got 3 concerns with my side

Zerrett if he's not named i will be trading him, got the cash to go straight to Danger but Cripps did look really good the other night. Banking the extra cash means I'd be close to being able to jump back on in a few weeks.

Playing 3 rookie defenders, not ideal but could work for a few weeks. Happy enough with Murray and Doddee but worried about having to play one of Naughton, Pearce and Finlayson. Bringing in someone with better scoring ability like Bonner or Zac Guthrie is pretty appealing.

Rayner at F5/6. Was never really happy with the selection and just went with it. He's going to have some up and down scores, which isn't ideal for starting him. Getting him to Taranto or DPP him with Sicily for Bonner.

Even thou I scored a sub par 2150, don't think my team is that far off. Got a lot of rookie selections wrong and Probably dropped another ~100 points with Merrett. Get those right and I'm not too far off the pace.

Feel I need to make atleast one trade this week, otherwise I box myself into a corner for next week.

I'm not sure about folk jumping off Merrett so soon (unless he's ruled out this week probably). The guys a DT god and has been the last 2-3 season running, consistent and has a huge ceiling. There's maybe half a dozen players in the whole league that you can say are both consistent for 110+ and also can go huge every now and then.

Not only that but reports that he suffered 3 concussions are wrong supposedly, club Dr. saying this one was his first for a long time and the other 2 were the result of a migraine crating blurred vision.

Is it better to hop off now, bank the 100k that he'll inevitably drop then pick him up again OR just hang onto him? because (barring some catastrophic injury) judging on everything he's shown over the last few year he'll be in the top 3 Mids for sure and certain.

My favourite thing to do in RDT is burn unnecessary trades and then I am boned come round 21-22, so pre-bye i'm going to try and use as few as possible so I'm holding Zerrett for now. This year will be different!:moustache:

ANB is rubbish

From what some people of said this week waste ur trades please :) makes it easier for me during the year
This.
I will however be watching the following players pretty closely this week
Hibberd - If he fails again and an underpriced guy like McGrath dominates, could be handy cash injection.
Brayshaw - Probably keeping him, but don't have Barry either.
Lycett - Would have scored 75 if he didnt give away 5FAs. Naitanui looks better but neither are keepers so it would be sideways
Christensen - Depends on how others around his price go, but he would want to show he is worth the extra cash this week.

Do I dump Lambert (one of my PODish picks) this week, or give him another week?

Would be trading to Heeney, Billings or Greene.

I am keeping him. I had 3 spuds Merrett, Zorko & Lambert and the only player this week I would think of trading is Zerrett because of concussion and the affects of concussion on a players output.

Hope Essendon fly out today and news of Zerrett flying with them comes out

Is it the same as last year that any trades done before lockout today, will be locked even if they are not playing and not a full lockout?

It's actually always been that way, at least a few years anyway. Round 1 the only round more forgiving on rolling lockout

Have changed my mind again and will give CEllis another chance to prove he is good enough to stay as my B4. I was going to trade to Bonner but i feel like i could do with cover in case Kreuzer is a late out so i went with Olango -> English. Obviously that trade also gives me another cash cow which should be useful in the long run. I've decided Bonner is not a must have so if i don't like what I see from CEllis this week i will probably downgrade him to Finlayson.

Zero changes atm, unless Zerrett isn't playing.

If Zorko gets tagged again though I'll be trading up to a Danger probably. Next week

Nic Nat went to 93 with 53%ToG, keeping an eye on that.

And that's only because, technically, you aren't making any trades in the round 1 partial lockout - you are still setting up your squad.

Me too. If Lycett doesn't perform, NN scores well again and Hibberd/Adams show a role change, I may downgrade one of the latter to an underpriced potential keeper (Sicily/Parker/Cripps) and upgrade Lycett to NN.

Trouble with NN is that he will be playing limited gametime for the coming month or so. Sure, he has shown if he plays very well he can still go 90+ in limited gametime but what will happen when he has an off game? He doesn't have enough minutes to bump his score up with hitouts etc. Also a chance to miss games due to soreness etc.

I have Zerrett and I'm certainly worried, but at this stage (other than my rage trade of him to Gibbs), I'll be holding on to him.

Kreuzer is a much bigger concern. Rucks plus groin injuries are not a good mix at all.

Got to remember that Lycett and NN were playing against a team without s ruckman. Then again, the same thing will apply this week against the dogs. Could be very misleading.

Yeah, good point. Not going to get 30 hitouts each against a side with a quality ruckman.
