My latest donut is Hugh Goddard on saturday night and I can't be stuffed worrying myself over the loophole tomorrow by having a VC in an early game. I know the whole ruck thing is screwed but Naitanui is against Cam Wood... hopefully he goes bang.

Yes If Simpson gets enough points you want to keep it as your Captain score then you can leave it as is provided Goddard isn't a late inclusion so keep an eye out for that, Newnes score will be counted but not as Captain. If your not happy with Simpsons score then move the Captaincy elsewhere for a second bite at the cherry.

Hindsight's 20/20, but would rather have chanced Dusty as my VC than Priddis. JPK or bust now, Dusty too risky for the C I reckon.

Dusty is the ideal sort of player I look for as vc. Someone that can just go huge, especially against a weaker opposition. Buddy was another one I picked a lot last year, as well as Goldstein when I knew what rucks were going to get before they changed the scoring. It might not come off, but then you'll just put the C on someone like GAJ, Pendles or Fyfe

This is where there can be value in having a KPF in your team*.

Such as the scores Tex & JJK have showed they can produce.

Might only come off 2x a year, but that's part of what the VC option is about.

Can't decide between Ablett and Mummy for VC. Can't really have Ablett in your team and not use him though, can you?

Given uncertainty about ruck scoring at the moment I won't be using any rucks as VC or C for the time being.

I'm thinking Beams because most will go with Fyfe.
