Round 21 Trades

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

1 left for me, and i'm finally going to get ablett (better late than never), trading in stevens.

Hope my new captain can get 140-150:)

120 last week, 100 before that, so 140ish is on the cards.

Out: Drummond
In: Bock/Ladson/Osborne/Guerra/Burgoyne/Whelan

can afford any defender under $299,300. Any help?

Bock - Proven performer (as stormer said), the only worry is him going forward but they tried that even though Craig was reluctant to do it in the first place. Didn't really work out and Gill has performed up forward so I would be suprised to see Bock move from CHB. Should get good numbers.

Ladson/Osbourne - Both solid picks but IMO will only score you 70-75 ppg so upside is minimal.

Guerra - A risk that could pay off big time for you. He had a stretch where he was forced to play on some very good players (O'keefe and S.Johnson IIRC) and his scored suffered. Has hit some decent form of late. Another worry is Hodge is playing down back a bit more lately and maybe stealing a few of his cheap stats (the only stats he gets).

Burgoyne - Looked very ordinary on Friday. Choco has staed that he has to prove himself and for that reason will be playing in the 1's for the remaining 2 games. It has also been said that he may play midfield which would hurt his scores. He has only scored well in his career in the past year or so when playing the QB role.

Whelan - Has shown that he can rack up big numbers with the way the Dees have been chipping it around back. But he has really only put in 2 maybe 3 good scores this year.

You should be able to make your own decision now. I would also advise you (or anyone else in a similar situation) to look at the run home for each of these players.

Im terrible at making decisions and would love some advice from you all. I have one trade left and 28K in the bank. Im looking at swapping either of the following

Backs (already have osborne, roughhead, mcphee, milburn)

K Moore -> Johncock, Ladson, MacDonald
Ibbo -> Gilbee or Guerra

Mids (have K Cornes, Bartell, Corey, Stevens, Swan)

Palmer -> M Murphy, Cross, Cooney or even Embley

Forward

D Thomas -> R Murphy or Bock

I was thinking Thomas considering he has a bung knee

3 Trades + 150K left

Had an easy first week and the second week off so far in finals so held back on some trades to see what would happen.
What I am looking at doing this week (of course baring any inj or withdrawals) :
HShaw -> Gun backman (Wheatly, Fisher, Newman, Symes)
Porps -> Gun Forward (Riewoldt, Richo)

Grand Final:
Cotchin, Valenti or Reimers -> Upgrade

I've got marc murphy as well, should i trade him to ablett instead of stevens as i feel he is going to have a big one this week?

1 Trade Left.
If Milburn is back, it will make it the trade i always wanted to do.
OUT: Gamble
IN: Riewoldt

And then only be left with under 10K.
Perfect.

Hope teams named on thursday work in my favor.

Similar boat - if milburn out - i'll do Shaw to someone like Bock, Walker or Newman.

If he is out I'll do Gamble to Gia / S Johnson or J Brown

Hey guys, just a quick question. I have up to $311,000 to spend on a defender. My current defense is:

Goddard
McLeod
Birchall
Kennelly
Welsh
Burgoyne
H. Taylor

Very ordinary stuff. Just wanted an opinion on who to choose out of Newman, Guerra or Whelan?

I'm leaning towards Whelan or Guerra. Guerra is a huge risk but when he scores he scores BIG. Whelan has had two good games in a row and seems to be in good form. Newman seems pretty solid for a 70-80 but not much more.

Last trade:
either lachie hansen->anyone (probably sam fisher)

or

mooney->riewoldt

Got 674 000 to spend on two forwards.

Already got:

Riewoldt
Franklin
R Murphy
Pavlich
Deledio

I'm thinking maybe Richo and Leon Davis.

Have 2 trades left - but only going to do one. David Hille out and either Ottens or Lade in. Looking to save my last for the GF if I get through.

3 trades and $190,000 in the bank.

Thinking,

Didak-> Richo
Drummond-> Bowden

Then 1 trade left if I make it to GF, for either a midfield upgrade or replace a rested player.

Richmond play Freo and Melbourne in the last two rounds, hopefully it pays off for me.

Why would you trade out any carlton midfielder now? They face Brisbane & Hawthorn over the next 2 weeks. Stevens has a pretty impressive track record against these two teams, who have been coughing up plenty of DT points in the midfield.

thanks for your help. Definitely tossing up between Guerra and Bock, but have to look into it further.

Still stuck with Porps on the bench, and survived the first week of finals with a bench player filling in.

need to trade out porps for this week,
dont have any extra cash,
is there anyone better than Aker to pick up? he wasnt too bad last week.

Go for Aker and hope like hell it pays off. Im not sure how well he plays against the Dons but it could pay off

3 Trades Left. What do i do??

so, 3 trades left, most likely going to use the 2 this weeks and only 22K

so ive got heath shaw and josh drummond on the bench.
i also have Hille.
i was planning on downgrading drummond for a 72K and then upgrading shaw
for a mackie.
but that was until i heard hille broke his damn hand.
my backs consist of mattner, goo, stiff, purgs, gram, nicoski and n lower.

So now basically my only option is:
Hille--->Sandilands frees up 32K, then
Drummond/Shaw--->Chris Newman or backman less that 304.2K.

however this will waste my opportunity to cash in on drummond and ill be stuck with 1 trade left next week and a pile of cash sitting on the bench.

OR

Drummond--->72K
Hille--->Cox
and this will keep n lower on the field.

a lot riding on this match and is a toughie.

hey everyone

which defender to get?

i have 384.7k to spend, with my current backline as:
- mackie
- s fisher
- goddard
- birchall
- mattner
- ibbotson
- ??

options include:
- milburn 355.2, to play NM, WC
- wheatley 369.0, PA, Rich
- j mcmahon 344.1, FR, Melb

after this round's double trade i'll have 1 left for the gf (hopefully). so i could get like bock and have 90k or so left over to use on my final trade

any help appreciated :S
