Melbourne v Sydney, MCG, 17pts, 28k - there, I've said it, upset on the cards, out the house on it, preferably the house of somebody you don't like
Carlton v St Kilda, MCG, 20pts, 38k - tipping Carlton still feels wrong, tipping St Kilda now feels wronger [which is now a perfectly cromulent word]
Brisbane v Geelong, Gabba, 11pts, 34k - no reason, but the crowd embiggen themselves for the match of the round
Adelaide v Collingwood, Adelaide Oval - Collingwood are the beter side, but maybe not in SA - could be match of the round but isn't
North Melbourne v Port Adelaide, Docklands, 10pts, 23k - Surprisingly high scoring after this week, and I would tip North at home but its hard after that
Fremantle v Essendon, Perth Stadium 17pts, 54k - Bombers to bounce back
Richmond v West Coast, MCG, 22pts, 62k - also match of the round, the G doesn't hold fear for WCE any more
Greater Western Sydney v Western Bulldogs, Showgrounds, 45pts, 8k
Hawthorn v Gold Coast, Docklands, 45pts, 28k - GC win? That's unpossible

Does the 36k include the 5-6 bays that were closed/empty for yesterday’s game (i assume gabba members?!)

The closed sections in the top tier are open for the Cats match, apparently only 2,000 tickets were available last week and now a total sell out. Larger crowd than the Easter Thursday V. Pies expected.

No that's not Gabba members, depending on crowd expectations that section has been closed off for all matches this year except the Magpies IIRC. I assume it's for staffing/financial issues.

Hopefully with all the good vibes going around and how we have performed this year next season all sections will be open for all games.

You're welcome Billy if you want to jump on the bandwagon.

I do come up a few times a year to watch some lions games when circumstances allow and if a big game. Particularly if i cant get down to melbourne for a footy weekend

Yer I do a footy weekend trip most years as well, went to Adelaide Oval last season for the 1st time, when I go to Melbourne I get in at least 2-3 games, a few years ago I went down for the Anzac day round and went to 4 matches, love it.

Haven't been away this year although my son and I are going to any away finals that we have, hopefully one of them is in the GF at the G.

Melbourne def Sydney Swans by 3pts, 25,000
St Kilda def Carlton by 8pts, 45,000
Brisbane Lions def Geelong Cats by 49pts, 26,000
Collingwood def Adelaide by 29pts, 42,000
North Melbourne def Port Adelaide by 12pts, 17,500
Essendon def Fremantle by 5pts, 32,500
Richmond def West Coast Eagles by 12pts, 42,000
GWS Giants def Western Bulldogs by 19pts, 11,000
Hawthorn def Gold Coast Suns by 24pts, 16,000

Home ground advantage helps get Brisbane and Richmond to victories but it certainly won't help Adelaide who have struggled at home this season, especially after giving it their all in Perth vs West Coast. Essendon and GWS bounce back from poor performances. Both games at Marvel are likely to have crowds of less than 20,000. North Melbourne surprise Port Adelaide to make the finals race even more tighter.

This game is already a sellout, it'll get at least 33k, probably closer to 36.

But unfortunately not this high, the Gabba doesn't hold 40k.
42k? The 42,000-capacity venue is officially known as the Brisbane Cricket Ground but is most often referred to as the Gabba, named after the suburb of Woolloongabba, in which it is located: Is this wrong? Or is it $36K? Whatever it is i should imagine it will be jam packed, played in perfect weather...This is Brisbane's biggest game for 15 years!

Yes that is wrong, they haven't updated the capacities since the new big screens were put in and a couple of other small refurbishments.

I can't find the new capacity anywhere but I think it is around the 37,000 mark

A 47 point thrashing would be very juicy but not confident at all. WC are a different interstate side at the MCG and they'll win by 11 points.
