We started the gold coast game with two tags - Yeo on Petracca (didn't work) and Allan on Miller (somewhat more successful), so I reckon we'll try something on Butters...doesn't mean it'll work though.
I hope we dont bother. We should just continue what we're doing when we've been playing well and just See how that goes

yeah I know but other than Graham who is too slow or Dev same, slow yeah maybe Allan, too raw Hough probably

Either way Butters will get 30+ so may as well attack
Gaff, a great stopper. Bring him back.
I am still staggered recalling seeing Gaffs hit on TV. I kept saying 'but thats Gaff'!!

I think there will be some sore bodies today.

With the volume of depth we have atm, I think it’s a good time to rest a couple who need an extended break and keep them fresh for our R4 match v Sydney.
Port are flakey and that makes them gettable if they have one of their off days. Plus I'm going to watch so go hard Eagles I say.

With Rozee out, Mini should go a hard tag on Butters and attempt to reduce his influence.

Port get a nice start to the year with 6 out of the first 9 games at home (inc the showdown as the away team).

Game is on at 9.30am on Sunday. How ridiculous. WC supporters get so disrespected with the fixturing. The club should complain when they do things like this.
Nah man I love it. I'm up at 5am every morning, having to wait until 3pm for the game feels like an eternity. It's brilliant being in WA because we get the eastern games three hours earlier too

10.30 would be my ideal (we had that for Brisbane away rnd 2 last year). We always do family breakfast out on Sunday morning, so I'll be home for 2nd half. I agree it is nice to have a Sunday arvo free to get settled into the week.

The club probably prefers this time slot as the players can get back to Perth on Sunday due to the Adelaide Airport curfew. R4 WCE - Sydney game is on Saturday. (Allows more time for preparation)

Looks like we get a look at Champion this week.
Milan is a massive out- he is our firestarter. That one really hurts.

Champion the most obvious replacement for Murdock given his reported form in the two WAFL practice matches

Hewett the other option but I’d prefer they didn’t bring him straight back in after an injury layoff

Owies

Relaxed Mad Men GIF

Why no Lindsay for Murdock. Push Baker forward.

This is also a good option, although I think our defence looked better at ground level with Baker in there attacking the ball like an over stimulated Jack Russell

So if Owies has to come in as the like-for-like replacement, Mini's pre-game message should be clear: "Look at me you waste of a list spot. You are now a crash-tackle robot. I dont give a fu*k if you dont touch the ball all day. Your sole purpose in this team is to run through packs and throw yourself at blokes twice your size. And so help me god if you finish the game with less than 10 tackles I will put you on the first plane straight back to Carlton".

NICE?? That's the understatement of the year.
They play the bottom 4 teams from last year to start the year including back to back home games in rounds 2 and 3.
Nice?
Ridiculously kind would be an understatement.
I keep hearing North got the easiest start to the year but my eyes and brain tell me Port do.

With Wines and Rosee out that leaves Butters as the main established mid remaining.

JHF still building fitness playing forward.

If we can nullify Butters then the remaining Port mids are really not that far ahead of our group at all.

Bad feeling we will lose both Millan and Baker this week to minor Injuries which will lower our pressure game.
