Okay week, made a little bit back in the rankings after a shocking start. 2134 in Fantasy, 2063 in RDT.

is it just me or is there a lot less people commenting in these threads this year?

I really hate the fact that the fantasy community is split up even more now. When it was just Dream Team vs Supercoach there was plenty of discussion. Now everything just feels very watered down.

I think the changes to the system, the site, the rules, the scoring and the growth of competing games hasn't helped. For example, we used to have a DT work league - but since the site has changed hands, we can no longer access it at work/via work laptop - all the other competitions are ok.

As I have to travel a lot, I'm not paying as much attention to Fantasy this year, as I know for at least half the rounds I won't be able to make trades as I'll be on the road...

Combined with the changes to scoring etc, so no-one has any idea of how it works - reduces the enjoyment as there just seems to be more potluck than rewarding people for good planning/thinking.

Is anyone having any problems in Fantasy as in seeing Head to Head match ups and Ladder standings? On my PC, Can't see the 2 in Question in certain leagues (Bigfooty Div 7) and on my Android phone..I only get the ladder and no Head to Head match ups. This only in a few of the leagues I'm in, then there are some that is working properly.

Although I had a crap week overall. Only 15 of my players reached their BE and those were mostly the ones with negative or low break evens. In all, my total team value only increased by around $10000.

Need to get Ablett and Mumford into my team but don't have the cash to do it in one week. Best to do Mumford first as his BE of 45 means his price could jump quite a bit next week. Went up by 31000 with a score of 120 this week. Ablett this week scored 146 with a BE of 128 and went up by 1738. He has a BE of 106 this week, not sure exactly what that would mean but I would guess that if he scored 146 again his price would go up, but nowhere near as much as Mumfords'.
Just checked rankings and if I had Ablett as skip from the start I would be ranked 600 instead of 6220.

This is fantasy but they use the DT points, just not the prices and salary cap.

I would suggest getting Gaz in this week as I think he will go mental against Hawthorn. Up here at Metricon against a top tier, if not the top, team. Langford should be running with him. Theoretically, he should put on a clinic and to give our boys even a slight look. Should be captain for everyone who owns him in my view

That's a point. I'll see what I can do. If I give Stevie J the flick I can get both in. Stevie gets monster scores at Simonds and against the lower teams but he can be erratic.

Wouldn't suggest it, I was just giving food for thought. Don't trade out Stevie

Who would you be looking to get Mumford in for?

I've got Matt Lobbe of Port Adelaide. He was getting pretty good scores last year as he was the only ruckman and he would often make a lot of tackles as well but he seems to have fallen off this year although he is still the lone ruckman.
I'm learning things slowly in fantasy and one seems to be you leave yourself at least a bit of cash for trades. If I want Mumford and Ablett at the same time I will have to trade up in both cases and this isn't possible. I've done the maths. I have an under performing Dustin Martin who I can trade down for Jackson Merrett which would give me a total 140000 plus the cash I already have(60000). This would allow me to trade Dayne Beams or Kane Cornes for Ablett.
