Alright guys its a new week so time to choose our new captains carefully (or keep the same captain). With a new round ahead of us there are some players that instantly jump at you.

Pavlich is vsing Richmond and you can tell under the circumstance that he looks like scoring very well. He hasn't had any 100+ games so far this year and i think this week is his week to fire. Also note the game is at Subiaco which to some extend gives an advantage to Pavlich due to the home ground and crowd.

Another Choice is Swan whose last 4 encounters with Carlton have been nothing but impressive ( 109, 123, 136 and 114). So he is a very likely candidate for this weeks captain selection. Also he didn't have the best of games last week so he will be looking to fire up this week.

Another choice is Brad Johnson who seems to love vsing Essendon with his last 4 results being (107, 141, 44:eek: and 133). However take in consideration that these results were 1 and 2 years ago so he may not be able to produce these results again (although you never know with Johnson).

Other choices include the very consistent Cross and also Cox (keep in mind his foot injury).

What are your guys thoughts? feel free to discuss...:thumbsu:

Cross is the obvious choice for me, the bulldog's midfield will dominate aginst the Bombers and i expect Cross to get 120+

my opponent will probably have Cross as her captain. Because my team is about 150-200 points better, I don't think it'll be too risky to go for Cornes (C) since she doesn't have him at all.

Probably go with Pav (c) and Cross (vc) this week, cross will go good against our midfield as we will most likely go head to head with each player, with the only tag going on a West or Cooney

Yet to have a captain selection in the hundred and has cost me at least 250 points this year, with captains of, 51, 53, 96..so looking to either trade in a player who i can assure will get me the solid hundreds or pick a captain this week who will produce...maybe a heath shaw, possibly a chad kornes..my team is good, but i don't have a solid performer week in week out!

Not Pav for me, will have around 6 players in that game. Too much.

Between Chad and Shaw.

tempted to go with carrazzo, always tears collingwood apart but idon't want him to do well

bad sign for dt :thumbsd:

Scores of 130 odd and 113 in round 2 and 3 have been excellent so I'll stick with Cross.

Against Essendon it will be an open game so plenty of cheap kicks and marks. You'd also expect the Doggies to win the midfield battle.

It will be a very open game, and as we know, Cross gets most of his points in close at the stoppages. So it could be a slim week for him (only 100 :D)

Read again.

for me its out of chad, cross, shaw or pav.

for me, i think chad will keep his spot as captain. Should produce al least 120+

my captain choices have been spot on this year (chad 113, cox 140, chad 151 - all scores are of the top of my head so may be wrong by a few points), have picked the highest scorer of my team each week, i can only hope it continues.
