My tips for tomorrow's games

Ireland vs Japan(City Oval,Wangaratta 11:15am)
Ireland to win comfortably

Canada vs Great Britain(Wangaratta Showgrounds 12:15pm)
Canada to win by a small margin.

USA vs Papua New Guinea(City Oval,Wangaratta 1pm)
Both teams looking to keep their unbeaten record. I think PNG will win just but this will be close.

South Africa vs Spain(City Oval,Wangaratta 2:45pm)
South Africa to win by 4 or 5 goals, hopefully the Bulls will continue to improve as this tournament continues.

Samoa vs New Zealand(Wangaratta Showgrounds 3:15pm)
New Zealand to win yet another close game.

With those tips in mind here is my proposed semi final line up.
(1st)New Zealand vs (4th)USA
(2nd)Papua New Guinea vs (3rd)Ireland

Excuse my ignorance but do any of these games come to Adelaide, or have they played any here?

No games in Adelaide. All games are in Melbourne except for tomorrows round in Wangaratta, the final is on Saturday at 4:30pm at the MCG before the Collingwood vs Carlton game.

Thanks. Pity. I'd have liked to go see one of these.

I think someone had brought up the idea on here before of having games all over Australia -- until someone pointed out that it was costing the teams enough just to GET TO Australia (as the teams were pretty much all paying their own way for the most part), and then if you added in the additional cost of traveling all over the country as well -- a lot of teams may decide that they just couldn't afford it, and not come...

So for the forseeable future, it'll probably always be hosted in and around Melbourne, I would assume...

But it would cost some countries no more , e.g. RSA to play in Perth .
And it gives those cities , teams or leagues a chance to help defray costs by sponsorship , billetting etc .

Some great clashes this round and with the schedule in place squad depth will start to matter more.

Paddies too strong for the Samurais
Canucks over the Poms by a few goals
Mozzies to win big over the Yanks
Jappies to clobber Los Toros
Kiwis over Manu Samoa by a bees nose

Doesn't look like we are getting the final coverage in Sydney :(

Ireland to demolish Japan

Canada to salvage something from the comp

USA to cause another boil over

Saffas to add to their tally

kiwis to finish it 4 from 4
